Guinevere is a
gorgeous 6-yearold
cat who was
found as a stray and
brought to PAWS Chicago to find a loving family.
Guinevere rang in the New Year in a foster home,
and her foster family said that she was an absolute
doll! She is a very affectionate cat and loves to
keep herself busy with toys and by looking out the
window. Guinevere would prefer a home without
dogs, but doesn’t mind a feline companion!
Guinevere, along with many dogs and cats, is
available for adoption at the PAWS Chicago North
Shore Adoption Center located inside the Petco
at 1616 Deerfield Road in Highland Park. To

speakers for 2019

The Woman’s Library
Club of Glencoe welcomed
two special guests
to their holiday luncheon
-- Nora Dunn and Peach
Carr.
The guests were a
break in the club’s regular
programming to “have
something entertaining
and light,” said Jennifer
Parkinson, the WLC
president.
“We have a variety of
speakers during our meetings,
but for this luncheon,
it was a little different,”
Parkinson added. “Our
whole goal is to create an
organization that appeals
to all ages and different
types of people of all
viewpoints.”
Dunn began her career
at Chicago’s Second City
and is known for her work
on the NBC sketch variety
TV series “Saturday
Night Live.” A comedian
and actress, she’s also appeared
in “Tag,” “Bruce
Almighty” and “Pineapple
Express,” among other
movies and TV shows,
according to IMDb page.
Carr burst onto the fashion
scene as a cheeky,
self-taught designer from
Chicago on the hit reality
show “Project Runway,”
her website says.
Drawing from her 60’s
and 70’s childhood, Peach
finds inspiration for her
designs from the music,
art and vibe of those
