<strong>Boker</strong> knives - definitely a good reason<br />
to celebrate! And of course, we<br />
want our customers take part in that<br />
celebration. For that reason, we are<br />
presenting an anniversary series with<br />
extraordinary models. The Damascus<br />
blades of these exquisite knives are<br />
each a piece of living <strong>Boker</strong> history.<br />
In the early days of <strong>Boker</strong>, of course<br />
there wasn't any electricity, <strong>and</strong> most<br />
machines in the factory were driven<br />
by steam. The energy was transferred<br />
by large transmission belts through<br />
the whole facility, to give power to<br />
the various machines. One of those<br />
huge transmission wheels still sits on<br />
the lawn in front of our manufactory<br />
in Solingen, as a reminder of the old<br />
times. We took a piece of the drive<br />
shaft of this wheel, <strong>and</strong> used it to forge<br />
the Anniversary Damascus for the<br />
blades of the Anniversary Damascus<br />
models, thus giving every owner the<br />
opportunity to hold a genuine piece<br />
of <strong>Boker</strong> history in their h<strong>and</strong>s. This<br />
unique way of creating a one-of-a-kind<br />

blade material, as well as the huge<br />
efforts that were made, is meant as<br />
a sign of our appreciation for all our<br />
customers, <strong>and</strong> for their steady support<br />
<strong>and</strong> loyalty for <strong>Boker</strong>, <strong>and</strong> for <strong>Boker</strong><br />
knives.<br />
Each knife in the Anniversary<br />
Damascus series is equipped with a<br />
h<strong>and</strong>le scale of a material which is<br />
almost as historic as the blade - the<br />
<strong>Boker</strong> logo dates back to the huge<br />
chestnut tree that graced the yard of<br />
our first facility, <strong>and</strong> though it had<br />
been destroyed by a thunderstorm<br />
in the early 20th century, the choice<br />
of smoked chestnut wood for the<br />
h<strong>and</strong>le scales still keeps the origin<br />
of our logo alive in every single<br />
knife in the series. Each knife is<br />
h<strong>and</strong>made in our <strong>Boker</strong> Manufactory<br />
in Solingen, <strong>and</strong> delivered with a<br />
certificate of authenticity, <strong>and</strong> in<br />
an anniversary frame display for an<br />
attractive presentation. Each model<br />
is individually numbered <strong>and</strong> strictly<br />
limited to 150 pieces worldwide.<br />
