Art Demonstration<br />

The London Visual Arts Guild is kicking<br />

off <strong>2019</strong> with a free demonstration by Jennifer<br />

Tritle on “Mixed Media” at 6 p.m. Jan.<br />

22 at Studio 7, 7 E. High St., London. Tritle’s<br />

work has been featured in several<br />

scrapbooking magazines, including Art<br />

Journaling, Somerset Studio, Somerset Apprentice<br />

and Bella Grace. She will be giving<br />

classes in upcoming months. After the<br />

demonstration, the Arts Guild will hold its<br />

monthly meeting, headed by new president,<br />

Bob Rea, at 7:30.<br />

Relay For Life Fundraisers<br />

All proceeds from the following events go<br />

to the American Cancer Society.<br />

• Progressive Euchre Parties. Euchre<br />

parties are set for 7 p.m. Jan. 26, Feb. 23<br />

and March 30 in the parlor at First Presbtyerian<br />

Church, 211 Garfield Ave., London.<br />

Beginners are welcome. Admission is any<br />

donation. Bring a snack to share.<br />

• Music Men of London. The barbershop<br />

quartet will perform at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at<br />

the Red Brick Tavern’s rib night. A tip jar<br />

will be placed near the cash register.<br />

• Watch Party. A Watch Party is planned<br />

for 7:30 p.m. Feb 24 at First Presbtyerian<br />

Church, 211 Garfield Ave., London. The<br />

main attraction is a certain Hollywood<br />

movies awards show that involves a red carpet<br />

and a familiar metallic trophy coveted by<br />

actors and directors in the entertainment<br />

Retired Teachers<br />

The <strong>Madison</strong> County Retired Teachers<br />

Association will meet Feb. 11 at Ben & Joy’s<br />

Soil and Water Conservation<br />

The <strong>Madison</strong> Soil and Water Conservation<br />

District’s monthly board meetings are<br />

held at 8 a.m. the second Wednesday of each<br />

month in the conference room at 831 U.S.<br />

Rte. 42 NE, London. The public is welcome<br />

to attend. The next meeting is Feb. 13.<br />

Township Trustees<br />

• Fairfield Township. The trustees’ first<br />

meeting of the year is Jan. 21. Thereafter,<br />

meetings will take place the first and third<br />

Mondays of each month at the Fairfield<br />

Township Hall, 9100 Big Plain-Circleville<br />

Road. Start time is 8 p.m.<br />

• Range Township. The trustees will<br />

meet at 8 p.m. Jan. 23 in the Sedalia firehouse.<br />

Only one meeting his scheduled next<br />

month—8 p.m. Feb. 18. The meetings will resume<br />

the regular schedule in March—8 p.m.<br />
