he University of the Third Age offers the

opportunity to share your knowledge,

experience and talents with others and to learn

from them in friendly surroundings. Nationally, the

U3A was founded in 1982 and has grown steadily

since then. U3A organises learning for people in

their 'Third Age', that is,

people who no longer have

responsibility for children

or full time work!

The Didcot & District U3A

has over 30 Interest

Singing Group

Groups, ranging from Art

Appreciation, Family History,

various Languages, Photography, Science &

Technology, Ukulele to Wine Appreciation! Why not

come along to the next meeting and find out what

we are all about? Meetings are held on the third

Tuesday of each month at 2pm at the Didcot Civic


Anyone interested in these

topics, or indeed in any of

the numerous Interest

Groups, is encouraged to

arrive 15 minutes before

National Trust Visit

the start and will be met

by Meeters & Greeters willing to advise on what

U3A is all about and on the benefits it provides to

those who wish to keep active (both mentally and

physically) in their

retirement. At each

monthly meeting, there is

a Guest Speaker providing

a presentation on a subject

interest or personal


Gardening Group Visit

Members and Meeters & Greeters to welcome you

to this 'National institution' for semi or retired

individuals wishing to continue with Living,

Learning and Laughing.
