GWSA Donation to the Guelph Legion
At the December 19 Board meeting it was GWSA’s great privilege to present Moe Morris, representing the
Guelph Legion, with a cheque for $1,000 to be put toward the Legion’s Poppy Fund.
Just under $1,000 was raised through donations offered at the November 9 “Day Before Event” and the
GWSA made up the difference. The accompanying picture was captured during the presentation. Dorothe
Fair and Ann Sneyd are pictured presenting the cheque to Moe Morris. He’s the one in full Legion Regalia!

Updates
Each month, approximately
mid-month, the Membership
and Marketing Committee
at the GWSA will send a
GWSA Email Update. It will
highlight a few of the exciting things happening at the
GWSA: important communications from the Board
(such as construction updates), and upcoming programs
by CSS. We are planning to include topics of
interest to Seniors, including several pertaining to
health and wellness.
You can unsubscribe from the updates at any time
by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link which will be
displayed at the bottom of every update.
If you have previously completed a paper “Consent
to Receive Electronic Communications,” we are asking
you to complete the electronic sign-up process described
below. We can’t sign you up manually AND
have our list editor keep track of the CASL (Canadian
Anti-Spam Legislation) compliance for those paper
forms. It’s one way or the other and we have chosen to
use the electronic option.
You can receive the GWSA email Updates by completing
the steps described below:
1. To begin, please send an email to:
subscribe@gwsa-guelph.ca. If you like, you can put
the word subscribe in the Subject line or you can
skip that part. In just a few minutes, you’ll get a
message with a link.
2. Click on the link you received, fill in the appropriate
fields, and click “Subscribe to List”.
3. To ensure you really want to receive GWSA
email updates – and to make sure all email addresses
are error free – we’ll send a message asking
you to confirm.
4. Once you respond to the confirmation message,
your registration is complete and you’ll receive
our Welcome letter.
We have also placed a link under the “Popular
Links” section on all web pages on the GWSA website.
Clicking on this link will also initiate the
signup process. This will take you to step 2 (above).
Simply follow through with steps 2 to 4 to complete
the process.
You can expect to receive your first GWSA Email
Update approximately mid-month after you sign up!
