Ask and Believe and It Will be Yours By Sheila Compatriotte Are you one of those people who wonders why you aren’t moving in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as others do? Are there other gifts that you desire to flow in but it never had the opportunity to do so? I think I may have a way to help you with that, but let’s start with some information from the word of God. There is only one Holy Spirit and all believers receive Him when they become part of God’s family. All churches may not teach this in this way but the word of God is clear on the matter. 1Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free: and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. This scripture shows this there is only one Holy Spirit and that all believers receive the Holy Spirit when they are baptized into the body of Christ. Ephesians 1:13-14 When you heard the message of truth, the Gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. He is the down payment of our inheritance. This is a scripture you can really chew on. What it says is that if we hear the Gospel and we believe in Christ then we are sealed with the promise of the Holy Spirit. What this means is, not only that our seat in heaven has been saved, 13
