Motability Allowance?
Open Your Door to
Freedom Here
Today, over 600,000 disabled people and their families enjoy the everyday freedom that leasing
a vehicle through Motability provides. The scheme is a simple way to lease a new car, without
the worry of owning and running one. If you receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of
the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement, getting a new car
is easier and more affordable than ever. Through Motability, you simply turn part or all of your
allowance into the car of your choice.
If you don’t drive, you can nominate somebody to drive for you, as long as the vehicle is used for
your benefit. This means that parents and carers can join the Scheme on behalf of a child aged
three and above. Leasing a vehicle through the Motability scheme includes the following benefits:
• 20,000 mileage allowance per year of your lease
• Window and windscreen repair or replacement
• Replacement tyres
Some cars are available at less or no more than the cost of the weekly allowance, while other
more expensive cars require an additional payment (known as an Advance Payment) to cover the
cost of the lease. If you think you may qualify or know someone that may then please contact
one of our Motability Specialists, Richard, Phil, Dale or Jed for further advice.
