Kicking off the finals of Cavalry Gold Cup in style, Matthew Perry
opened the scoring today with a fantastic shot from the 30' penalty spot. A
great display of defence tactics from Salim Azmi, the backbone of
Rajnigandha Achievers, disallowed Garcha Group/Aravali Polo to score a
goal in the first chukker as the scoreboard read 4 - 0.5. The finals
progressed with Manuel Llorente opening the scoring for Garcha
Group/Aravali Polo. Garcha Group/ Aravali Polo found it difficult to
contain Rajnigandha Achievers as Hurr Ali and Matthew Perry handled
the scoring for the team.

VP Singh Memorial COA Polo Cup in the memory of Brig
VP Singh, the only Polo player to have a +7 handicap in
post-independent India. In attendance of Gen. Bipin Rawat,
the chief guest at the match, the game went neck to neck
till the third chukker but a goal from Dhruvpal Godara
helped Cavaliers win the Brig VP Singh Memorial COA

Riding the wave of victory with two 20-goal titles under their belts,
the 2019 Herbie Pennell Cup and Joe Barry Cup, Dutta Corp stepped
boldly onto the field to challenge heavy-hitters Pilot for the Ylvisaker
Cup on Sunday, February 10. After being outscored by Pilot for the
Butler Handicap Trophy during Ylvisaker Cup bracket play, Dutta
Corp shut down many of Pilot’s field tactics and set plays to claim
their third trophy of the season.

successfully created a buzz. The US 26- Goal Tournament,
“All Star Challenge” began on 7th February, 2019. With its
inception, it became one of the four high goal tournaments
and the first to be played this season. The WPL held its draft
and draw cocktail party on Tuesday in front of a packed
house at Valiente Polo Farm.

The United States Polo Association (USPA) hosted an
exclusive players’ draw
party at the International Polo Club Palm Beach (IPC) in
Wellington, Florida, for players and team owners competing in
the inaugural GAUNTLET OF POLO.
The GAUNTLET is the sport’s newest and most challenging
tournament series with an unprecedented 16 teams across
three tournaments and a potential $1,000,000 purse. The
official draw determined the playing order for the first
tournament, the C.V. Whitney Cup, which begins on February
13 at IPC.
