The Balkans
Hungary
With spiritual emptiness left behind by communism,
Hungarians are searching for something to fill the
hopelessness in their lives. Jesus Christ is the Hope for the
hopeless. It has been our prayer and desire to see Biblebelieving,
gospel-proclaiming churches planted all over
Hungary. Reaching people by varied ministries, those we
support desire transformation of the hopeless through the
gospel at the local church. Learn more at reachbudapest.org.
Pray for
• Full-time missionaries in various evangelistic ministries:
Cassidy Baker (café ministry), Brian Harris (ReachGlobal
area leader), Harold and Cindy Golden (church planters,
English clubs), Betsy Melchers (art ministry), Mark and
Jodi Revell (church planters, Budapest team leaders),
Jack and Beth Thompson (missionary care).
• A team that will visit Tapolca to conduct a Teen English
Camp, June 21-July 7. Pray the Hungarian students (and
ours) are transformed by the preaching of the Word.
• Dillon and Kamren Mack (Barrington) are preparing for
long-term ministry in Hungary.
• Doug and Kristi Andre (Barrington) were recently
accepted by ReachGlobal to prepare for long-term
ministry in Hungary.
• Dave and Carol Dallstream who will begin serving
in Budapest this summer for 23 months with the
ReachGlobal Budapest City Team.
• Others who are prayerfully considering long term
ministry in Hungary.

Greece
As we follow the Lord’s direction to reach those along
the Via Egnatia, Greece is in a strategic location for
reaching former communist countries of Eastern Europe,
North Africa and the Middle East. (The Via Egnatia is
an ancient road nearly 700 miles long stretching from
Durrës, Albania, to Istanbul, Turkey.) Our partners with
ReachGlobal and Hellenic Ministries desire to proclaim
the gospel and make disciples who serve the Lord
wholeheartedly.
Pray for
• Stephanos and Manon Mihalios (ReachGlobal Athens
team leaders, church planters, teaching at Athens
Bible College).
• The team that will attend the Anastasi Celebration in
Thessaloniki, April 24-30, to meet and pray with other
believers who want to see the gospel spread in northern
Greece.
• The team that will visit Porto Astro, July 22-August 8, to
pray, serve and proclaim the gospel at a summer camp
for children and young adults. Pray campers commit
their lives to Christ and grow in their faith.
• Adults and families who will participate with Operation
Joshua to put a Bible in every home in northern Greece
and share the gospel, June 30–July 12.
• Alexander and Kendra Macris
(Northfield), who are preparing for
long-term ministry with Hellenic
Ministries (hellenicministries.org).
They will lead the Porto Astro camp
and follow-up ministry and serve on
the Operation Joshua leadership team
this summer.

The Balkans
Albania
Along the Via Egnatia, Albania, is strategic for reaching
former communist and nominally Muslim countries of
Eastern Europe. Our partners with Radstock Ministries
desire to proclaim the gospel in this difficult and resistant
area, making disciples and planting churches that build
faith in Christ. They rely on our prayers for God’s will to
be accomplished.
The Balkan Region of Europe
One of the three goals of the Thrive Campaign
is to plant churches in the Balkans. Our work
in Hungary, Greece and Albania is helping us
to accomplish that goal.
Pray for
• Brian Jose (and Audrey) who lead Radstock Ministries.
Also, Kejdis Bakalli (church planting-Albania), Mario
Casni (church planting-Croatia), Danielle McBride (church
planting-Serbia). We support four other Radstock church
planters but, due to security concerns, are not able to share
names.
• Kujtim and Lauren Rushiti, whom we sent in 2016 to
begin the church in Durrës with Radstock. Pray as they
seek to begin a Christian English School this year. Pray
for a response to the gospel through various ministries
at churches in Durrës and Sukth. Pray they would be
encouraged to persevere in their faith in Christ and
His work.
• The team that will visit Durrës, March 21-29, to conduct
an outreach to university students through a professional
development seminar. Pray contacts will be made for
gospel proclamation.
• A team that will visit Durrës, June 21-July 7, to conduct a
Children’s Bible day camp. Pray that the gospel would take
root in nominally Muslim families through this outreach.
• Hector and Dally Quintana who will serve in Durres
April 12-20 to assist with English language outreach.
• Pray for several couples and families prayerfully considering
long-term ministry in Albania.

Southeast Asia
Southeast Asia
The Orchard is committed to encouraging fellow believers in
the many countries that make up Southeast Asia. Because of
the sensitive nature of the work, we are limited in what we
can share about what's being done there. We are confident
that the Lord is at work, and He has kindly appointed us to
a role partnering with our Asian brothers and sisters in His
service and for His glory.
Pray for
• Raju Abraham, Stephen Chandra, Doug Olson, and Steve
Persenaire who are serving Christ in various ways and
countries. Additionally, ten other workers that can’t be
mentioned due to security concerns.
• Amy Zawislak-Mattes, who was introduced to ministry in
SE Asia when part of our short-term team. The Lord called
her from business to SIM, providing hope in the gospel
through a missional business plan. Pray for opportunities
to share the gospel and see lives transformed by Christ.
• Our team who will augment a national team, September
20-29, conducting a retreat to encourage those who
labor for Christ in some of the most difficult, highrisk
and remote areas in that region. Pray for these
national workers who attend the retreat. Pray our team
successfully encourages the believers.
• Pray the gospel takes root as
clean water is provided and
distributed by church planters as
their ministry and means
of sustainable livelihood.
• Several couples who are
prayerfully considering long-term
ministry in Southeast Asia.

North India
God has inclined our hearts
toward two partners and
opened doors for us to
advance the gospel with
them. Delhi Bible Institute
(DBI) reaches North India
with the gospel of Christ by
planting Bible-preaching
churches throughout the
vastly populated area. They teach, train, equip and support
indigenous church planters and pastors. Emmanuel Hospital
Association (EHA) is a fellowship of Christian institutions
and individuals seeking transformation through the gospel
by caring for the poor and marginalized. EHA provides
medical care, spiritual ministries, support for church planters
and leadership development.
Pray for
• Isaac Shaw (pastor, leads DBI), Gus Peters (church
planting), Sunil Gokavi (leads EHA), and Nimai Suna (leads
a seminary). We also support other workers not to be
mentioned due to security issues.
• New Bible training centers being established by DBI amid
persecution. Pray for those students committed to sharing
the gospel and seeing lives transformed by Christ despite
serious threats.
• A team that will conduct a women’s retreat in Delhi
September 2019 to encourage women in their walk with
Christ in a hostile climate.
