Skid Plates and Winch<br />
Mount for Toyota 4Runner<br />
ASFIR has developed a new product<br />
line for the Toyota 4Runner. It is a<br />
full set of 6mm aluminum skid plates,<br />
which protect the front, transmission,<br />
transfer, fuel tank and exhaust.<br />
Aluminum is strong but flexible,<br />
so it can be straightened after impact<br />
while driving off-road and is lightweight,<br />
which contributes to gas-consumption<br />
savings.<br />
All skid plates are bolted on to original<br />
holes in the chassis so there is no<br />
drilling, welding or cutting involved.<br />
The side steps bolt onto the chassis,<br />
but they are not just for good looks.<br />
A steel profile beneath the aluminum<br />
cover of the side step allows them to<br />
act as a jacking point all along the side<br />
of the vehicle.<br />
The new hidden winch mount is<br />
installed inside the original bumper<br />
and looks great on the vehicle. It<br />
accommodates a 9,500 lbs. winch.<br />

The line consists almost entirely of<br />
three-piece plate bumpers. These<br />
modular bumpers allow for design<br />
flexibility and allowed the designers<br />
at DV8 Offroad to create a<br />
stout and lightweight bumper that<br />
can ship via standard ground shipping.<br />
The three-piece design allows<br />
for easy replacement if one of the<br />
pieces is damaged in an accident,<br />
and also provides the opportunity<br />
to swap out the end pieces for a<br />
different style, i.e. Baja, Plate, High<br />
Clearance, etc.<br />
Customers will no longer have to<br />
pay upward of $250 for shipping or<br />
deal with the headache that comes<br />
with shipping a large one-piece bumper<br />
LTL (less than truckload).<br />
They did not sacrifice style when<br />
making these bumpers modular,<br />
using razor-thin adjoining edges to<br />

This finish can be left as is or can<br />
be sanded down and painted over<br />
