SERVING OUR
Many of our churches across PennDel have committed to reaching out to their communities by
connecting with service departments, shelters, and schools. Here are a few testimonies of how several
churches are serving the local schools in their communities.
AT RURAL COMPASSION, we where
inspired to build on the relationships with
stakeholders in our community. While we
already had somewhat of a relationship with our
schools, we wanted to commit to taking it to a
higher level.
Since then, we have continuously taken “gifts”
to different areas of the school, including snacks
to the elementary school, health items to the school nurse, sports drinks to
the athletic directors, cleaning goods to the Life Skills classrooms and more.
We further partner with the Life Skills program by having students come to
the church once a week to clean. This assists them in gaining job skills for
outside work when they are ready to leave school, and it is a blessing to us
as well. We, in turn, provide a Christmas dinner party for them as well as an
Easter egg hunt.
The social worker for the school district reached out to us and asked if we
would be willing to host a summer reading program. We happily agreed and
they provided books to use, including several VeggieTales and Max Lucado
books. What an amazing opportunity!
Bridges are definitely being built in Windsor, PA as a result of saying “we are
going to be the stakeholder in our community that we are meant to be!” To
God be the glory!

LEROY AND I
have been blessed to
serve in God’s beautiful
community of Galeton,
PA for two years. In this
short period of time,
God has expanded our
influence and multiplied
His ministry for His glory.
One area of influence we have had in our community
is within the local school. We continue to build and
add relationships through blessing departmental
staff with gifts of love and other things they need.
We frequently stop by to offer encouragement and
a listening ear. This allows us to get to know their
needs and desires. We can then act and provide for
them. We also intentionally partner with the school
principal by supporting, encouraging and cheering
for him. We don’t come in with our ideas or our
agendas, but rather with the heart of a servant. Our
desire is to be a blessing to the school.
As we continue to love the Lord and the community
He has placed us in, we are excited about the
upcoming opportunities that God has in store.
