is the end result of many months of<br />

creative and diligent work and requires<br />

the professional event planner for<br />

perfect execution. India is one of the<br />

world's largest music markets with<br />

more than one billion music lovers and<br />

strong economic growth. Indian music<br />

is based on rhythms and melodies but<br />

more importantly it is more concern<br />

with vibrant colors of the rich musical<br />

heritage and wide range of vivid<br />

emotions and expressions. AD<br />

In an interview with Insights Success,<br />

Ameya Dabli, Founder of AD<br />

Ventures gave some insightful answers<br />

highlighting the influences made by<br />

him and his company to take special<br />

event programs to a new level.<br />

1. You could have easily continued a<br />

career in the corporate world.<br />

Instead, you choose music, was it all<br />

about your passion’s call? Enlighten<br />

us about your journey from the<br />

beginning to your carrier.<br />

I have always been passionate about<br />

music and since early childhood, I<br />

have been training for the same.<br />

Alongside music, I continued to pursue<br />

my academic interests which helped<br />

me attain a degree in Chemical<br />

Engineering and MBA in Sales &<br />

Marketing. <strong>The</strong>reafter I worked for<br />

various highly applauded corporate<br />

companies like Zee Telefilms, Tata<br />

Group (Indian hotels), Citibank, HSBC<br />

among others. However, since the past<br />

couple years; I’ve been keen to devote<br />

more time to music with a vision to<br />

develop and create musical concepts<br />

and themes that would be universally<br />

appealing and soothing. So, yes I<br />

believe it was definitely the inner<br />

calling that caused me to discontinue<br />

my corporate journey of 15 years and<br />

establish ADVentures. Through the<br />

platform of AD Ventures, both<br />

PurviSoali (Joint Head for AD Venture)<br />

and I pledge to contribute to the<br />

society with melodious and meaningful<br />

musical experiences.<br />

2. How do you stay motivated when<br />

things don’t go as planned? How<br />

do you deal with last-minute<br />

change or unexpected situation<br />

when planning an event?<br />

As artists, there are several occasions<br />

where the audiences assembled at the<br />

event have a different expectation than<br />

what is planned. In such scenarios<br />

where last minute changes are<br />

expected, I try to read my audiences<br />

and deliver according to their<br />

expectations. This judgment I believe<br />

comes through experience and<br />

versatility; the key is to stay confident.<br />

3. What do you like most about your<br />

job? What is your fondest musical<br />

memory as you contributing<br />

distinctly for social causes?<br />

Being able to contribute to<br />

humanitarian causes through music<br />

and uniting the hearts and minds of<br />

the audience across geopolitical and<br />

social strata, is deeply enthralling<br />

for me. My fondest musical memory<br />

would be performing for the Indian<br />

Armed Forces. <strong>The</strong> tour was called<br />

‘Mission for Nation’. Getting an<br />

opportunity to spread the joy for<br />

men &amp; women who serve our<br />

nation with commitment & dignity<br />

was by far one of the most<br />

memorable experiences.<br />

4. Mention some of the awards,<br />

achievements, recognition and<br />

clients’ feedback that are notable<br />

to you.<br />

Over the years I have been fortunate<br />

to perform at various public, private<br />

and corporate concerts globally like<br />

In addition to this, I have also<br />

family & weddings, Himanshu and<br />

HiralKanakia, Naresh Chedda<br />

6. Versatility is the best quality of an<br />

artist, what genre of music you<br />

have mastery? In how many<br />

concerts and countries, you have<br />

performed till this date?<br />

I believe a complete musician is the<br />

one who is limitless and infinitely<br />

versatile in his works of art. From<br />

my early childhood, I have been<br />

training for Indian semi-classical<br />

and light music. Besides this, I also<br />

perform Spiritual music (Abhangs,<br />

Sanskrit chants), Folk music through<br />

my IP called Ekam Satt. Heart to<br />

Heart is another IP where I sing<br />

exclusive Sufi and Ghazals. Apart<br />

from this, I also perform Western<br />

music as well as contemporary<br />

Bollywood music. By far I have<br />

performed at around 1500 concerts<br />

across 15 countries around the globe<br />

and I strive to continue and spread<br />

more joy and happiness in the years<br />

to come.<br />

7. Describe yourself in one or two<br />

words. Who has been your<br />

greatest guide, support, and<br />

source of inspiration in music?<br />

I would describe myself to be a<br />

social entertainer. My mother, Dr.<br />

Anuradha Dabli, who’s a disciple of<br />

Prabha Atre practiced India classical<br />

and light music. It is her influence<br />

that helped me turn my passion into<br />

a full-time job. As a child, I would sit<br />

beside mom and try to imitate her<br />

while she did her ‘riyaz’. Soon this<br />

became a daily activity and from age<br />

five, I started training with her – a<br />

practice that we still continue.<br />

8. What are your plans & hopes for<br />

the future with regard to your<br />

music?<br />

For me, music is not just an art form<br />

but also a form of worship for it has<br />

the ability to address and<br />

communicate every single emotion<br />

that we as humans experience in our<br />

life. I moto is to create ‘Music with<br />

a Message’,, which irrespective of<br />

its genre or language, will give the<br />

listeners an experience that is, in<br />

fact, blissful music and beyond.<br />

Few projects which are in pipeline<br />

is another IP called Mental Mettle<br />

which is designed especially for the<br />

youth of our country along with Mr.<br />

SubhashGhai. Other than that my 3<br />

Album, which will be launched by<br />

Times Music, ‘Ekam Satt Reloaded’<br />

will be performed as a theatrical<br />

with Shamiak Dawar and his troops.<br />

9. What would you advice to<br />

upcoming singers and musician?<br />

I would advise the budding<br />

musicians to practice music with<br />

passion and discipline, for it is a<br />

strong medium that will enable them<br />

to deliver joy, harmony, and unity<br />

among millions across the globe.<br />

Most importantly, follow your heart<br />

and spread love and peace with<br />

meaningful music.<br />
