Old Noarlunga Primary School
The small school with the big heart

Old Noarlunga Primary School
is located in the semirural
township of Old Noarlunga, 30
kilometres from Adelaide on
the picturesque Onkaparinga
River. The township is in close
proximity to the beautiful
McLaren Vale wine region, to
some of South Australia’s best
beaches and is adjacent to
metropolitan facilities, services
and infrastructure. The school
celebrated 150 years of public
education in 2009 and along
with the township shares a
proud history and heritage.
The school has a student
enrolment of 146 students from
Reception to Year 7 in 6 classes
and has a well-deserved
reputation of excellence based
on strong and nurturing
relationships and rigorous
teaching and learning.
Each morning our beautiful
restored school bell sounds,
greeting our students and their
families and is a much loved
icon of our school.
Our students engage in
rich and diverse learning
opportunities in all eight
areas of the curriculum –
English, Mathematics, Science,
Humanities and Social Sciences,
The Arts, Technologies, Health

and Physical Education and
Japanese. Our Specialist music
program is highly regarded
and offers our students
opportunities in choir, Festival
choir and Taiko drumming
and our Specialist Physical
education program provides
opportunities for students to
participate in local and broader
community events including
SAPSASA events.
In 2019 we are rolling out
100 new ICT devices including
over 50 Chromebooks which
will give our year 6 and 7

students 1-1 access and offer
1-3 access for all students from
Year 3.
Fibre Optic cabling and updated
infrastructure will give our
students the latest and best in
ICT opportunities.
In mid-2019 our school will
commence a much needed
OSHC service before and after
school.
Our school is a high
performing school with a
dedicated and passionate
staff team who are future and
improvement focused in order
to maximise outcomes for all
students.
It is not hard to see why Old
Noarlunga Primary is a much
sought after school that enjoys
excellence for our students
academically, socially and
emotionally.
