vet, continuing to be a student is essential for

of establishing LCES as well as remaining vigilant
to the hazards of your job. Respect fire, fight fire
aggressively and provide for safety first.
Paul supervised hotshot crews for over 20 years,
co-pioneered sawyer safety training for firefighters and developed the
Lookouts, Communications, Escape Routes and Safety Zones (LCES)
safety concept now taught to all wildland firefighters.
