Welcome to this issue of The Garage. 

THE clocks are changing, the days are 

getting longer and the nights getting 

shorter – so it’s time to take a look 

at lighting. No, we haven’t got our 

calendars mixed up, because day in, 

day out, lighting brings the independent garage 

a regular income stream. 

Yet – and it’s a big yet – how much do garages 

do to turn a light bulb change to their 

benefit. Call it, if you like, a light bulb moment, 

but more and more workshops realise 

they can be making more from selling bulbs, 

especially when it comes to the time needed 

to change some headlight bulbs. Go on, be 

honest – if it’s a complicated job (as it is on 

so many modern motors) do you charge accordingly, 

or let it go. 

Experience tells us that a man’s or woman’s 

time is money, and their labour should 

be paid for. But at the same time, it’s worth 

offering lighting upgrades, as these generate 

more income. And, as we see, HID lighting 

needs changing every three years or so, because 

it can lose its glow over time. 

Just like lighting, oil is a regular incomebringer 

to any workshop, and as oils have 

become more complex, the profit margin 

has increased. There’s no denying just how 

complicated the oils market has become but 

that has been to the benefit of a garage’s bottom 

line, and that’s thanks to the need for 

VM-specific oils. Yes, service intervals have 

extended, but there’s no reason for them not 

to be profitable. 

These days we need to think of engine oils 

as part numbers rather than a generic, onesize-fits-all 

lubricant where just one or two 

types would cover all the car parc. That’s 

no longer the case, and if anything things 

will become even more complicated, which 

means greater reliance on reliable, clued-up 

factors.

THE PARTS Alliance has confirmed 

Carcraft MOT and Service Centre Ltd as a

NSK DEVELOP WORLD’S 

FIRST HYDRAULIC LOAD 

DETECTION DEVICE 

IN a world-first, NSK has 

developed a load detection 

device that prevents 

the overloading of commercial 

vehicles and improves 

safety. Offering easy 

fitment to the suspension of 

vans, light trucks and other 

commercial vehicles, the device 

enables precise weight 

measurement on the go. 

Overloaded vehicles are a 

costly, long-standing social 

problem that is gaining attention 

in many countries. The 

issue is viewed as a major 

contributor to serious accidents 

– an overloaded vehicle 

demands a longer braking 

distance and is more difficult 

to steer. What’s more, the 

problem can promote road 

infrastructure damage (undulations, 

cracking, sinking), 

leading to a significant deterioration 

in road safety and 

comfort. 

Governments around the 

globe are presently looking 

to strengthen regulations and 

so prevent overloading. German 

highways, for instance, 

feature load sensors in the 

road at over 700 locations. 

Drivers not only lose their licence 

for exceeding load limits 

more than three times in 

a year, but punitive measures 

make it more difficult to 

work as a professional driver 

once their licence has been 

regained. The story is similar 

in Japan, where highway toll 

booths have been busy installing 

electric scales. 

To help solve the problem, 

NSK set about creating a compact 

on-board load detection 

device. The result is a product 

that features a flexible 

diaphragm which deforms 

under load, thus increasing 

pressure in the fluid chamber. 

Load is calculated based 

on the increase in pressure. 

The hydraulic fluid is essentially 

non-compressible (high 

bulk modulus), which serves 

to facilitate operation with 

minimal diaphragm flex. 

A double layer seal to prevent 

fluid leakage is an integral 

part of the design. In 

the highly unlikely event of a 

hydraulic fluid leak, the suspension 

spring will only extend 

a tiny amount to close a 

gap above the piston, resulting 

in no adverse effects on 

the suspension system. The 

load detection device also features 

an ultra-thin (25 mm), 

compact design to avoid significantly 

shortening the suspension 

stroke. 

NSK has already developed 

a demo car fitted with the 

new load detection device, 

which is attached to the suspension 

of the front and rear 

wheels to measure cargo load 

with an accuracy of +5%. 

Importantly, the device can 

wirelessly transmit the cargo 

weight to a mobile phone or 

on-board system, enabling 

the vehicle’s centre of gravity 

to be calculated and utilised 

accordingly. 

NSK is now undertaking 

further work that will see 

data from the load detection 

device used to help develop 

environmentally friendly vehicle 

control systems, thus 

enabling safer, more comfortable 

driving experiences. 

This work will include safer 

braking through the independent 

control of front and rear 

brakes to account for load 

conditions. In addition, there 

will be focus on improving 

the fuel economy of vehicles 

by controlling the transmission 

to account for load conditions. 

NSK is also considering 

several ways of using the 

technology to improve steering 

consistency and comfort.

Wiseman Motor Services upskill team with 

Schaeffler’s LuK double clutch training 

The owner of a Birmingham-based 

independent 

workshop 

has thanked Schaeffler 

REPXPERT after 

the original equipment 

manufacturer (OEM) made a 

return visit to discover how 

LuK double clutch training 

has transformed the fortunes 

of his business. 

Prior to Alistair Mason’s 

visit to Wiseman Motor Services 

last year, the workshop 

was unable to diagnose or 

replace double clutch systems; 

therefore, Matthew 

Wiseman, the workshop’s 

owner, was forced to turn 

away work and vital revenue. 

Frustrated at being unable 

to carry out repairs to double 

clutch vehicles, Matthew 

turned to Schaeffler – he explained:

I knew that we had to upskill 

our team to carry out the 

necessary repairs; the staff 

and I needed the training to 

be able to diagnose and repair 

the problems. 

“Asking for the training 

was very easy, as we already 

had access to the REPX- 

PERT portal. We did some 

research; the knowledge 

base was there, contact details 

were simple to locate, so 

I made the call and the team 

could not be more accommodating.” 

Five months on, Alistair 

returned to find out how effective 

the training was, and 

he was delighted to discover

VXPRO BRAKE SHIELDS 

ALTHOUGH ELTA Automotive Ltd is 

particularly well-known for its vehicle 

electrics and electronic products, the 

company prides itself on providing its 

valued customers with opportunities 

with other related products where there is an obvious 

synergy. 

Following the launch of its VXPRO brake wear 

sensors, the resourceful supplier has now introduced 

brake shields, which is an as-yet underdeveloped 

segment and one that presents workshops with an 

excellent added value opportunity. 

Although seen on a daily basis, brake shields, 

otherwise referred to as dust covers, back plates or 

splash panels, are largely considered an irrelevance 

and generally ignored by technicians, as they undertake 

their regular service and repair responsibilities. 

Perhaps the only exception is when they are sometimes 

removed on the misconception that without them 

brake cooling can be improved or benefit the vehicle’s 

aesthetics. 

However, as vehicle manufacturers are always 

exploring ways to cut costs and reduce kerb weight, 

the fact that they fit dust shields means there is a 

requirement to do so. 

Although they are generally relatively simple in 

design and made from pressed aluminium, this doesn’t 

undermine their importance as they serve to protect 

the braking system, as well as steering & suspension 

components, from heat, dirt and debris that would 

potential reduce their normal lifespan. 

As an inexpensive part that plays an important role 

in prolonging the life of more costly components, ELTA 

recommend that brake shields are replaced at the first 

sign of damage, thereby ensuring the vehicle has the 

protection it needs, while presenting a professionally 

finished job.

Shaftec has invested heavily 

in its remanufacturing facilities 

in recent years. Business 

growth was the driver behind 

its 2015 facility expansion 

and subsequent mezzanine 

floor addition in early 2018. 

The business now operates 

from a site totaling 4000m². 

Advances in technology increasingly 

widen the scope 

of components and systems 

suitable for remanufacture, 

as shown in the clear industry 

shift towards mechatronic 

components. Demand 

increases the scale. Sales of 

Shaftec branded remanufactured 

Electric Power Steering 

(EPS) racks, up 33 percent 

this January compared to last 

clearly illustrate this.

COST RACER 

DEBUTED 

LAST WEEK, an MG3 

low-cost racer built by 

MG Car Club and SAIC 

Motor UK Technical 

Centre made its dynamic 

debut at Castle Combe 

Circuit. 

SAIC Motor UK Technical 

Centre Interns were tasked 

with building the car; using 

an ex-engineering vehicle as 

a donor car as part of an Internship 

Project. 

The car has been built with 

low-cost motorsport in mind; 

a minimal budget to convert 

the car into a racer for 

£5,000 to a specification that 

allows the car to compete in 

a Club championship, which 

shares a low-cost ethos. 

MG3 will be able to race in 

Class A (standard – road going 

cars) of the MG Cup during 

2019, providing a first 

season of testing and development 

plus the opportunity 

to score points during its 

first season racing. 

The MG Cup has been running 

for over 30 years, with a 

simple structure and regulations 

designed to keep costs 

to a minimum and provide a 

challenge for new and experienced 

drivers alike.

PRA CONCERNED BY 

PROPOSED PLANS 

“THE PROPOSED measures to save the 

struggling merger between Sainsbury’s and 

Asda will put thousands of independent 

petrol retailers out of business and decimate 

consumer choice across the UK, particularly in 

rural areas”, said Brian Madderson, Chairman 

of the Petrol Retailers Association (PRA). 

The PRA is very concerned that the 

measures proposed by Sainsbury’s to get 

their controversial merger with Asda approved 

by the Competition and Markets Authority 

(CMA), which include a cap on the amount of 

profit they make on petrol, could lead to job 

losses and closures across Britain’s network of 

independent fuel retailers. 

All Supermarkets have the ability to share 

the cost of petrol operations with areas of their 

business that are not available to independent 

petrol retailers, this has the potential to 

distort the commercial forces acting on petrol 

stations. 

Since 2000, nearly 70% of independent 

fuel retailers have been forced to close; a 

fact that coincides with the rapid growth of 

supermarkets and their entry into the fuel 

market. These closures have, significantly 

reduced the choice for the consumer and are

forcing motorists to drive ever further to fill up. 

Some commentators rightly regard the 

proposals as a ‘desperate’ bid to save the 

merger and the PRA agrees with the CMA’s 

fears that the merger will lead to reduced 

consumer choice and higher prices in the 

long run, through a substantial reduction in 

competition. 

Madderson continues, “The PRA and its 

members view the latest proposal from 

Sainsbury’s and Asda to cap fuel margins as 

unenforceable and running counter to the 

CMA’s guidelines that the remedies should not 

involve behavioural change that requires high 

level monitoring and enforcement. 

“Independent petrol retailers are already 

struggling with very high costs including 

a business rates system that is not fit for 

purpose, sharply rising wage bills from the 

government’s National Minimum Wage, 

increasing insurance premiums and energy 

costs. 

“This latest attempt by Sainsbury’s and Asda 

to keep their merger afloat will lead to the 

closure of hundreds of often small, family-run 

businesses providing essential services to 

hard-pressed rural communities.”

Sarah was crowned the 

first-ever female winner of 

the Britcar Championship 

last season and will be returning

It is a formula that proved

Tenneco Supplies Suspension on Jaguar I-PACE All-Electric SUV, European Car of the Year 

TENNECO INC. (NYSE: TEN), a global supplier of Ride 

Performance and Clean Air products and systems, is 

supplying suspension components for the new Jaguar 

I-PACE all-electric luxury crossover SUV. The Jaguar I-Pace 

has been revealed as 2019 European Car of the Year in a 

ceremony on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle 

features Tenneco’s passive front and rear dampers and coil 

and air spring suspension modules, engineered to improve 

ride performance and stability. 

“Our innovative suspension modules, like those featured 

on the new Jaguar I-PACE, are designed to meet each 

vehicle’s ride and handling targets as well as specific 

packaging requirements,” said Neville Rudd, senior vice 

president, Tenneco Global Ride Control. “These suspension 

modules incorporate designs and materials that offer 

important benefits for all-electric vehicles such as light 

weighting, underbody space savings and simplified vehicle 

integration.” 

Reducing overall vehicle weight is critical to the efficient 

operation of electric powertrains, which can be heavier 

compared to traditional internal combustion engine 

powertrains. Tenneco’s suspension modules include plastic 

spring seats, an aluminium top mount and other lightweight 

components that can help offset the weight of electric motors 

and batteries, offering improved vehicle performance. 

Tenneco will supply the vehicle’s suspension components 

and modules from its manufacturing facilities in Sint-Truiden, 

Belgium (front passive dampers); Hodkovice, Czech Republic 

(rear passive dampers and rear modules); and Birmingham,

Skin care, mental 

health and the 

auto trade 

The workplace is somewhere that mental health and 

wellbeing should be taken seriously, and though the 

conversation around mental health has become more 

prominent in recent times, the statistics in the trades 

are shocking. The Office of National Statistics reported 

last year that the risk of suicide amongst those in the trades is 

1.6 times higher than the UK average. The number of suicides 

in the trades industry as a whole makes up around 38% of the 

recorded in-work suicides. 

When it comes to wellbeing at work, there are many factors 

involved. Long, demanding hours, working on the move or 

away from home can result in a stressful lifestyle, particularly 

for those who are self-employed. This can all contribute to 

poor mental health. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) 

advise employers to encourage speaking out at an early stage, 

using routine management tools to identify problems and being 

sensitive and supportive . Sometimes even the simplest of 

changes can have a huge impact. 

Tradesman Geoff discusses one of these simple changes. 

Speaking about his experience of occupational skin disorders 

(OSDs), the 65-year-old said: ‘It was so severe that I couldn’t 

grip. Not being able to make a cup of tea. Not being able to 

use a knife and fork properly. All these things affect the mental 

state of someone’. 

Skin diseases are the second most-common work-related 

health problem in Europe , and for those in the automotive 

trade, they can be especially common. Categorised as a highrisk 

job by the HSE , skin disorders are often exacerbated by 

the work with contaminants and irritants that comes with the 

job of a garage worker. 

Sore, swollen, cracked, itchy or blistered skin are just some 

of the symptoms that can be experienced. 2 out of 5 workers 

will suffer a skin issue at some point in their working life, and 

they can often go unreported. 

What is clear is that physical health has a direct impact on 

wellbeing. Geoff went on to say, ‘it affects you mentally. It’s 

very demoralising’. 

Jason, a 41-year-old labourer added: ‘There’s a lot more that 

could be done. There’s not a lot of information out there.’ 

Small changes made to skin care can have major impacts 

on skin condition – vastly improving physical health, 

and thus having a positive, lasting effect on mental 

health and wellbeing. As Jason said, more information 

is needed. 

Skin should be treated at three stages 

throughout a shift, with the appropriate 

products. Protection cream should be 

applied before work, creating a protective 

layer and making the hands easier to 

clean. After each contact with a contaminant, 

hands should be cleaned with an 

appropriate strength hand cleaner – too 

strong, and it could exacerbate existing 

skin conditions. Finally, a restoring 

moisturising cream should be applied 

after work.

has changed what oils 

are needed for vintage

reliability of modern 

cars, plus the 

introduction of further 

lengthening of 

extended service intervals 

means today’s motorists 

just do not bother to check 

their car. Gone are the days 

of the Sunday morning car 

wash, when tyre pressures 

were checked and bonnets 

were raised to check the radiator 

level and, of course, 

the oil. 

With a plethora of dashboard 

warning lights to raise 

awareness of any problems, 

and the fact even more drivers 

than ever are technically 

ignorant, a modern car’s 

reliability can be thrown to 

the dogs. And that’s no more 

obvious than when it comes

to checking an engine’s oil 

level. 

Figures published by ECP 

show frighteningly low levels 

of oil level checking: “A 

new study has found that as 

many as 62 percent of drivers 

are on the road with low 

levels of oil, while a staggering 

17 percent never check 

their oil at all*. Not only 

could this neglect be causing 

serious internal damage 

to a vehicle, it could also be 

hitting motorists in the wallet, 

with issues caused by oil 

depletion usually expensive 

to repair,” ECP reports. 

Much of this low level oil 

scenario problem can be 

blamed fairly and squarely 

at extended service intervals, 

which by their very nature 

mean cars are less frequently 

in a workshop where, even 

if a car was in for a totally 

unrelated job, the oil level 

could be checked. “This was 

vital preventative maintenance, 

which often identified 

potential problems long 

before they could cause any 

damage to the car,” ECP 

says. 

For some time engine oils 

have been more than refined 

crude oils, and now feature 

additives to help with longevity 

and performance, the 

latter being more important 

today as engines become not 

only smaller, but more powerful. 

Today creating an oil isn’t 

simply a case of refining what 

comes out of the ground – 

car makers will talk with oil 

brands about just what their 

engines will require, but also 

influencing any new oils will 

be API, the American Petroleum 

Institute, ILSAC, the International 

Lubricant Standardisation 

and Approval 

Committee and ACEA, the 

European Automobile Manufacturers’ 

Association. 

Oil companies have to 

meet specifications laid 

down by those organizations, 

which then calls for a 

blending of base oils and additives, 

as Gulf Oils MP Sajeev 

explains: “It is much the 

same as a wine maker determined 

to produce a fine wine 

to suit the palate of someone 

eating a certain type of food. 

He will mix together specific 

amount of the different varieties 

of wine and then taste 

the blend. In the oil industry, 

in place of wine’s colour, 

aroma and taste engineers 

and chemists use more exacting 

scientific techniques.” 

The number of additives 

– and in what amount – varies, 

but among them are 

anti-oxidants to prevent oil 

breaking down under high 

temperatures, anti-wear additives 

and detergent and 

dispersants to keep engine 

components clean and suspend 

dirt in the oil for trapping 

in the filter. 

The need for regular oil 

level checks – as well as 

oil changes for an increasing 

number of cars covering 

short distances – hands 

any switched-on workshop a 

greater revenue stream. Vehicle 

health check-ups can 

lead to more oil changes, but 

income can be boosted by 

showing the customer how 

they can check their car’s 

oil, and selling a one-litre 

top-up pack. 

One of the longest-estab- 

lished players in the aftermarket 

is Castrol, whose 

Edge oil now features Fluid 

Titanium Technology which 

is said to reduce friction by 

up to one fifth. The changes

THE RISE in classic car interest has seen a change in the way these cars are looked 

after, with a new generation simply not prepared to get their hands dirty by working on 

their own cars. That puts the onus on workshops looking after the occasional older car 

to research the service parts they need, which includes oil. As with a modern car, using 

the wrong type can be disastrous. 

Guy Lachlan of Bicester Heritage-based Classic Oils (www.classic-oils.net), which 

supplies oils from the likes of Castrol, Duckhams and Millers, says while it’s tempting to 

use an oil in the workshop, there’s every chance it won’t be suitable. 

“It’s an important issue for the trade, particularly if they’re working on a variety of cars 

of all ages: The dilemma is do they order the correct specification or do they use what 

they already have? There’s a risk they might use an oil that is totally wrong.” 

The solution is obvious – to use the correct type, and Lachlan recognizes workshops 

might need only enough oil for that car – and they’ll need it as soon as possible. 

“Workshops need small quantities quickly and efficiently – we have next-day deliveries 

and that makes a workshop look professional.”

Fuchs says its new oil has been 

proven to reduce fuel consumption

“It’s suitable for vehicles 

running on petrol, diesel or 

gas and also in combination 

with up-to-date exhaust gas 

after-treatment systems,” says

manager Andy Brown. “Even 

older engine generations can 

be changed over to Titan GT1 

FLEX 23 SAE 5W-30 and it can 

be applied in many vehicles of 

Asian manufacturers if the use 

of an API SN, ACEA C2 or C3 

engine oil is specified.” 

Long-established names unite 

to keep classics on the road 

Morris Lubricants was founded 150 years ago, which makes 

Morgan, which started making cars 110 years ago, look 

something of a newcomer. The Malvern-based car maker, 

noted for its traditional-styling yet embracing of new engines 

and running gear, builds fewer than 1000 cars a year and 

many are still on the road. Now the two companies have 

joined forces, Morris Lubricants supplying a an oil for older 

Plus 4, 4/4 and Roadster models.

Drive for lower 

emissions forces 

lubricants to adapt 

After the dieselgate 

scandal broke back 

in 2015, emissions 

have remained 

high on the automotive 

industry agenda. The 

UK government has taken a 

number of steps to try and 

reduce emissions from vehicles 

on the roads. In May 

2018, stricter limits for emissions 

from diesel cars were 

introduced as part of the 

MOT test. In July 2018 the 

government set-out its ‘Road 

to Zero’ strategy to meet both 

short and longer-term reductions 

in CO2 and air quality 

emissions including ending 

the sale of conventional petrol 

and diesel vehicles by 2040. 

Regionally, London has operated 

a Low Emission Zone 

since 2008 and the Ultra-Low 

Emission Zone comes into 

force in April this year. Birmingham, 

Derby and Newcastle 

are known to be planning 

their own schemes to 

target older, more polluting 

cars in an effort to reduce 

emissions further. 

Good for the environment, 

challenging for lubricants 

Whilst the automotive industry 

finds ways to achieve 

this reduction in emissions, 

the impact is being felt by lubricants 

manufacturers too. 

Just as the move towards 

electric vehicles presents new 

challenges for lubricants, 

lower emission vehicles put 

lubricants under increasing 

pressure.

comments: “The lubricants 

industry supports any initiatives 

to reduce emissions 

levels and the environmental 

impact of all types of vehicles. 

But these initiatives 

have knock-on effects in a 

number of vehicle areas, including 

lubricants, which 

manufacturers must adapt 

to. Engines that are running 

at higher temperatures, under 

instances of higher pressures 

and smaller engine sizes 

with higher output ratios 

and smaller sumps have all 

led to intricate engine technology. 

Thinner, less viscous, 

synthetic lubricants such as 

0W30s and even 0W16s are 

being produced to provide 

sufficient lubrication in these 

conditions. 

Yet the vast majority of 

commercial vehicles on the 

UK roads are over seven years 

old and will require a higher 

viscosity lubricant such as 

a 5W30 or greater. Usually, 

the latest formulations are a 

good thing, being cleaner and 

greener. But when it comes to 

lubrication, putting the wrong 

oil in a vehicle can cause major 

problems. Poor quality or 

the wrong oil can cause accelerated 

wear to gears and 

bearings leading to increased 

maintenance costs and if left 

unchecked, eventual engine 

failure. It is vital that whilst 

lubricants adapt to cater to 

the latest, most efficient vehicles, 

mechanics are able to 

access lubricants suitable for 

older vehicles too.” 

To help lubricant manufacturers 

and marketers navigate 

the change, VLS is working 

to uphold standards in 

the lubricants industry. VLS 

independently verifies lubricant 

specifications, to ensure 

products really can deliver 

what they claim. Their role is 

to protect and educate workshops, 

technicians and everyone 

involved in the automotive 

supply chain, as well as 

motorists, to ensure that the 

oils they are using are fit for 

purpose.

See and be seen – it’s an old-fashioned 

expression but it sums up exactly what a car’s 

lights are all about. Drivers need to see where 

they’re going, and motorists need to see other 

vehicles. Richard Barnett looks at the technology 

behind lighting 

THE problem for today’s 

drivers is the 

difficulty of changing 

bulbs, and headlight 

bulbs in particular. 

In many cases a quick job 

that could be carried out 

by the least knowledgeable 

driver now involves a trip to 

the garage. 

Modern bulbs have a longer 

service life than those of 

the past but it might come 

as a surprise to some workshop 

staff that Xenon HID 

bulbs, which can three times 

as powerful as conventional 

types, can with time lose 

their illumination. Today, 

around 10 percent of the UK 

car parc is fitted with HID 

bulbs. 

HIDs have become increasingly 

popular as lighting 

upgrades because of 

their illumination, helped 

by the ultra-white light they 

offer. When introduced it 

was thought they would last 

the lifetime of the car, but as 

Ring points out, that isn’t the 

case. 

Ring says that as an HID 

bulb has no filament it won’t 

fail in the same way a conventional 

bulb does, but 

the company’s beam-testing 

laboratories says that a fouryears 

old HID bulb might 

have lost almost a fifth (17.5 

percent) of lumens compared 

with a new bulb while 

lux output was found to 

have dropped by just under 

60 percent when compared 

with a new bulb.

Headlights are arguably 

the most safety-critical lights 

found on vehicles. They provide 

the illumination that 

helps the driver both see and 

be seen when driving on the 

road. Headlight bulbs come 

in a wide variety of shapes, 

sizes and technologies, and 

are designed to be replaceable 

when they burn out. As 

the lights provide illumination 

for low light conditions, 

they are very important to 

the overall safety and drivability 

of the vehicle, especially 

for night time driving. 

When a headlighting bulb 

fails, the vehicle can be left

Usually, headlighting bulbs 

will produce a few symptoms 

that can let the driver 

know that they may require 

attention. One of the first 

symptoms of a bad or failing 

headlighting bulb is a 

dimming of the light output. 

Over time, headlight bulbs 

can wear out and begin to 

shine noticeably less brightly 

than when they were new. 

A dim headlight is usually 

a sign that the bulb is approaching 

the end of its service 

life.

Perfect illumination is 

especially important for 

distance vision – usually 

between 75-100 metres in 

front of a vehicle – and safety, 

together with comfort, are

is being developed.

the light exactly where it’s needed. 

All three of the new professional LED 

workshop lamps are designed for the

IK09 , one of the highest international
