Media’s third annual North<br />
Shore Choice Awards were<br />
invited to attend a cocktail<br />
party and awards ceremony<br />
Wednesday, March 27, at<br />
Pinstripes in Northbrook.<br />
The honorees feasted on<br />
a variety of hors d’oeuvres<br />
provided by Pinstripes —<br />
who won Best Buffet and<br />
Best Bowling Alley in the<br />
contest — including platters<br />
of housemade bruschetta,<br />
avocado hummus<br />
and garlic hummus, chilled<br />
shrimp cocktail, antipasto,<br />
Italian sliders of meatballs<br />
and chicken parmesan,<br />
burger sliders, crispy<br />
calamari, and cookies and<br />
brownies; margherita,<br />
chicken and avocado club,<br />
and roasted vegetable flatbreads;<br />
and passed appetizers<br />
of fried mozzarella,<br />
stuffed mushrooms, mini<br />
crabcakes and pigs in a<br />
blanket.<br />
Entertainment was provided<br />
by The Actors Gymnasium<br />
and included a juggler<br />
and a magician.<br />
The winner of the $500<br />
BMO Harris Bank Mastercard<br />
gift card was announced<br />
as well. The winner<br />
was Carole Collum, of<br />
Glenview.<br />
The award winners received<br />
a North Shore<br />
Choice Awards plaque<br />
with their business name<br />
engraved on it, window<br />
cling and a photo from the<br />
ceremony of each business<br />
owner or representative.<br />
