We’re hiring, join us. At SAB Biotherapeutics, we're developing treatments<br />
for human diseases that have no cure with our immunotherapy platform utilizing<br />
transchromosomic cattle. This position will give Animal Science/Pre-vet or Dairy<br />
Science students who have an interest in the biotechnology industry a hands-on<br />
experience working Tc animals, c-sections, embryo transfers, and plasma<br />
collections. If required for credit, the candidate will complete a project and<br />
presentation on a topic agreed upon at the beginning of the internship.<br />
Timing: Mid-May to mid-August.<br />
Essential duties:<br />
• Maintenance of equipment and buildings including: preparation of<br />
rooms for daily work as outlined by weekly schedule.<br />
• Assist team with herd operations including general animal care and<br />
procedures including: c-sections, vaccinations, and plasma collection.<br />
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and data entry.<br />
• Utilize best practices in handling of recipient and plasma donor<br />
animals throughout facilities.<br />
• Assist others in areas when needed.<br />
Qualifications:<br />
• Post-secondary education required.<br />
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a “satisfactory” driving record.<br />
• Excellent cattle handling skills and patience are preferred.<br />
• Ability to write technical reports and keep accurate records;<br />
detailing procedures, outcomes and observations.<br />

of the M.Ed. program. Course dates run from June 10 –<br />
