SkipFiction is more than a Magazine. It is a collective of writers,
artists, and amazing individuals that see artists and
musicians getting skipped over. It is a collective of community
members who see their friends and neighbors doing incredible
things and making jaw-dropping art and they want to share what
they are seeing. It is you, looking at this page, right now.
SkipFiction was founded as an internet blog focused on showcasing
the community that the founders, Brandon Hughes, Alex
Faultersack, and their growing team of writers saw it. Editor
Kelsey May Frasier helped them chisel and develop what they had,
making huge contributions by the way of expanding their view of
art to include writing and slam poetry. Now, we are working to
keep the ball rolling, expanding SkipFiction to include a website,
print magazine, podcast, show series, and community resources.
We believe that the closer we bring each other together, the higher
we bring each other up.
