The Vancouver, Coast & Mountains Region offers a diverse range of world-class attractions and activities across four unique destination areas. Metro Vancouver enjoys a beautiful west coast location where it’s possible to golf, kayak, and catch an opera in the same day. The Fraser Valley and Fraser Canyon is defined by the Fraser River and is home to fantastic whitewater rafting, sturgeon and salmon fishing, and plenty of farm-fresh food. The Sea-to-Sky Corridor features ocean and mountain views along the Sea-to-Sky Highway. This area is a renowned destination for hiking, mountain biking, and skiing and is also home to Whistler. The Sunshine Coast offers no less with windswept beaches, lush forests, and many art galleries and studios. Coast Mountain Circle Route The Coast Mountain Circle Route starts in Metro Vancouver and explores the mountains, forests, and canyons that stretch nearly 593 km (368 mi). The tour can take as little as two days but is best experienced in a more leisurely fashion. You will wind through misty coastal mountains, into the province’s rain shadow, and up on to the dry highland plateau. You’ll explore historic Gold Rush Country, following the path of the gold seekers along the raging Thompson and the Fraser rivers before returning to Vancouver. Sunshine Coast Route 101 Twenty-five kilometres (15.5 mi) northwest of Vancouver via ferry is the start of Highway 101. This beautiful coastal drive runs along the 130 km (80 mi) Sunshine Coast from the Langdale ferry terminal to Lund, offering lovely views of islands and straits while passing through coastal towns. This area of BC is the sunniest and driest, and the highway takes you past 10 parks popular for fishing, canoeing, diving, hiking, and other outdoor activities. Along the journey are two ferry crossings, beautiful inlets, deep fjords, sandy beaches, and forests. Artisan and fishing communities include Gibsons, Madeira Park, Garden Bay, Powell River, Lund, and Sechelt. Super Camping/Select Lodging - Vancouver, Coast & Mountains RATES: Charges may be based on either per vehicle or number of persons.
