SELWYN TIMES

I’M SURE there’s many in the Lincoln

Springston areas who would like to get

their hands on the low lifes who have

stolen plaques from graves (see page 1).

Taking the plaques from the cemetery

can only be described as despicable.

As Bruce Tweedy, who features in our article says: “I can’t

fathom why somebody would do it.”

The plaques would have been taken to sell as scrap metal,

so let’s hope where ever they turn up the scrap yard has some

record of who brought them in for sale.

Punishment: Maybe use the low lifes for Springston and Lincoln

rugby tackling practice. Bring back the stiff arm head high

to show younger players what they were once like, I say,

They’d run a mile.
