League presents Art
Fair on the Square
The 65th Annual Art Fair
on the Square is the signature
event for the Deer Path
Art League and our gift to
the community. The twoday,
juried fine art show, located
in historic Lake Forest
Market Square, attracts over
20,000 attendees, is free to
the public, and celebrates
the individual artisan.
Last year, nearly 400 national
and international artists
applied to participate.
The selected 180 exhibitors
work in a variety of disciplines
including: ceramics,
digital art, drawing/pastels,
fiber, glass, graphics/printmaking,
jewelry, metal,
mixed media, painting,
photography, sculpture and
wood.
Featured specialty
booths will include the entrepreneurial
Young Artists
area with artisanal crafts,
the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff
Artslink tent highlighting
more than 20 community
arts not-for-profits, live
music at the Lake Forest
Train Station and the Information
Tent, which details
Deer Path Art League programming.
For more than 65 years,
the not-for-profit Deer Path
Art League has been dedicated
to the creation and
appreciation of art through a
variety of classes and summer
art camps at Gorton
Community Center, exhibiting
the Emerging Artist
Exhibit featuring 13 area
schools PreK-12, and the
awarding of a scholarship
at Lake Forest High School.
Hosting Art Fair helps to
fulfill the Art League mission
to “spark, nurture and
enhance creativity as well
as raise community awareness
and appreciation of
the arts.” The mission is as
true today as it was in 1954.
We hope to see you there to
help us celebrate the tradition
of supporting the arts
on the North Shore.
