Established in 1885, Robinson Low Francis has seen so many changes in its 134-year history.

Today, RLF is an independently owned Partnership, 130 strong, working across 5 UK offices. We offer an

array of services to both private and public-sector clients across the whole built environment.

We have an extensive track record in Cost Management, Project Management, Health & Safety,

Construction Management and Building Surveying. Our expertise covers a portfolio of sectors including

Residential, Private Rented Sector, Commercial Development, Education, Sports & Leisure, Science &

Technology, Care, Industrial, Arts & Heritage and Mixed-use developments.

At any one time, we are involved in over £2 billion worth of construction and consultancy projects.

construction of the new 50 bed care home including external

landscaped areas.

Residential care services for up to 32 occupants, set within

The 43,600 ft² new-build hospice was built on farmland

adjacent to Titnore Lane, within a mile of the current building.

Full delivery services included programme, risk, financial, legal

and quality management.

The Scottish National Epilepsy Centre provides a 22,800 ft²

bespoke independant hospital that will become a national

resource providing epilepsy assessment and research, as well

as in-patient facilities throughout Scoland, in partnership with

the NHS.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice

Cost Manager & Project Manager

St Wilfrid’s Hospice was innovatively designed using green

roofs and luscious gardens to conceal the hospice creating

a peaceul sanctuary. The accommodation includes a 20

bedroom in-patient unit, a café, an exhibition space, and a

physiotherapy gym and spa baths. This project recieved two

nominations at the RICS Awards South East and in the Sussex

Heritage Awards in the ‘Community Benefit’ catagory.

The redevelopment of an existing care home site to provide

34 extra care units offering the best of contemporary care

services and design.

The facility includes enhanced communal lounges, dining

spaces, bathrooms, washrooms and treatment rooms.

The 14-unit development incorporates the Bradbury Centre,

which delivers an entirely new model of care to the reigon’s

wider community.

The centre is located in a remote rural area with limited

amenities, and the site was subject to significant planning

constraints.

Rooms in the new two-storey home far exceed national

care standards and provide a wide range of high quality

care and personal services, including 68 private rooms

comprising of executive suites, garden patio rooms with

access to landscaped gardens, a hairdressing and beauty

salon, multipurpose entertainment space, hobby rooms and

‘Rumbles Café’.

An 81 bedroom, new build concrete panel framed elderly/

dementia care home on the site of a former care home. The

building has four floors, each operating as a separate unit.

The lower ground and ground floors contain a total of 41

elderly care bedrooms with the first floor containing 27 units.

The care home also includes a penthouse floor, containing 13

elderly care bedrooms.

When making decisions relating to

property investment, development

or maintenance, comprehensive and

accurate supporting information

is essential.

RLF’s team of building surveyors

operate across the UK and provide

a broad range of investigative and

advisory services to property owners,

occupiers, investors and developers.

These services include advice on

party walls and other neighbourly

matters, dilapidations, turnkey

delivery, planned maintenance,

surveys and due diligence.

Clients who are looking for greater

flexibility and control over programme

efficiency, quality and construction

risks, may consider a consultancy

approach to a directly managed

construction delivery through

Construction Management. This

requires the whole team to actively

‘manage’ the risks associated with the

construction process (that are retained

by the client) to maximise flexibility,

adaptability and opportunity for the

benefit of the client.

RLF can support this delivery either

through strategic consultancy, direct

structuring of a construction

management delivery team or

provision of construction consultancy

professionals to enhance a client’s

own in-house delivery capability.

Development is fraught with risk,

so lenders want to make sure

they invest wisely and that their

investments are protected. RLF

have a nationwide team which

banks and other investors to assist

in the reduction of these risks.
