I plan on
continuing
my eventing
career with
Killer and am
extremely
excited to see
where we go
from here.
Having such
an amazing horse as my partner through this
journey and as my partner through my riding
career is the best thing I could have ever
asked for.
Stattok
(AAF Solitaire X Z F Desiree)
Highest Eventing Level: Preliminary
Status: Retired (temporary)
Owner/Rider: Helen Donnell
When I met
Stattok, he was
a wild, uncut,
barely handled
5 year-old. If he
had grown to
his breeder's
expectations, I
would never
have been able to
afford him, but because he's 14 hands on his
tippy toes, he came to live with me.
Because of his scope, we skipped directly from
Beginner Novice to Training, and in one Florida
season qualified for the Classic Training Three
Day Event, where we finished fifth. The
following year we made two starts at
Preliminary, where the jumps were almost as
big as Stat.
When my health forced me out of competition,
Stat served as a schoolmaster for a 12 year-old
boy, taking him from Beginner Novice to
Training in a year, and earning him an
invitation to train with Buck Davidson.
Due to his rider’s health issues, Stat has
been temporarily out of competition, but
we are planning a comeback in 2019.
Right away he showed a talent for jumping
(starting with the four foot paddock gate). In an
early training session with Jennifer Holling she
described his form as, "Wrapping his little Arab
ankles around his little Arab ears."
