A Fun and interactive incursion was

given to Year 3 - 6 students on cyber

safety. This presentation was about a

13 year old girl who received a friend

request online from someone who

claimed to be 13 and a student at a

nearby school. She was unaware when

talking online to the new friend, she

was giving away personal details, like

where she lived and went to school.

They arranged to meet at a skate park

across from where she lived. However,

when arrived the new friend was in fact

a 21 year old man. With no other people

around, she had put herself in a very

dangerous situation! Fortunately, she

reached out to a friend who persuaded

her to tell her. parents and talk about

online safety.
