WOW our first issue!
What a moment for the blog and everyone that has
helped along the way!
I feel like this is the perfect time for BensBurgerBlog
to open its own magazine shooting and producing
Seasonal Issues. This is the first magazine I have ever
written; never mind published so I’m looking
forward to the journey, seeing where it takes us,
listening to feedback from all of you so we can make
this magazine enjoyable for everyone.
I will be having guest bloggers and features in the
magazine each issue so I just want to say a thank you
to those in this issue for their hard work and

Hi, my name is Ben Crane and I created Ben’s
Burger Blog in March 2017. I have never
featured on the blog, until now it has all
been anonymous, so I suppose this could be
called the grand reveal!
How it all started?
It all happened over a bit of a running joke I
had going on with my friends and family
who would always guess what I’d be having
on the menu without even having to look! Of
course you’ve guessed it too… it would be a

would simply not be where it is or the
magazine even starting without your
support, comments, likes and shares on the
posts, so thank you.
As I am sure from my page you have loved
the content so far, and that is what I want to
keep sharing and creating in this magazine
too! Alongside working with other bloggers
from different markets such as: beauty,
fitness and travel. Creating your must read
essential guide with some freebies, vouchers
and giveaways thrown in!
Who really knows!? There are loads of
options and partnerships I want to create
and set up, the possibilities are endless.
All I know is that you are all definitely going
to have a blast reading this; exploring new
places, setting your sights on a new product,
‘you must have’ or tasting a new world of
FOOD AND FAMILY are at the heart of life for Joe
Formisano, founder of DeliVita. Inspired by his Italian
heritage and a love of cooking, Joe was spurred to
create a wood-fired oven. He had experienced the
frustration of using inefficient brick ovens that took
several hours to heat up, and clay ovens that cracked
and failed in the UK climate.
At only 30kg these ovens are portable and designed
to withstand the UK climate; their sleek looks are
suited to the most bespoke designer outdoor
kitchen, whilst for fans of “glamping”, stylishly
replacing the traditional barbeque.
How it Works…
It takes only 25 minutes to reach a temperature of
450 °C and can reach up to 600 °C. It can cook the
perfect wood-fired pizza in just 90 seconds but is
also suitable for roasting, baking and smoking,
making it a favourite among professional chefs. It
has even inspired its own recipe book: Fired Up –
Wood Oven Cooking, which features dishes such as
Chateaubriand and smoked slow-cooked salmon.

New Manager, new Head Chef with a new
exciting menu and whole new look. The Old
Stables is built on the former stable block
and courtyard of the estate, so it’s bursting
at the seams with character and history,
originally opening in September 2016.
I was lucky enough to attend the spring
menu launch, tasting a selection of the
creative dishes on offer, while watching the
sun set over the golf course, through the
large glass fronted restaurant, was the
perfect setting for a fantastic evening.
The all new look inside The Old stables has an
elegant classy feel with a comfort for all
occasions, fronted on arrival with a large
terrace, perfect for drinking or al fresco
dining in the sun! With a great selection of
cocktails and specials on the menu it’s just
too hard to resist.

After hearing from the Head Chef the
background and make up of many of the
dishes on the menu, I was more than looking
forward to tucking into some fantastic food
selections on the menu!
Starting off sipping a refreshing cocktail while
browsing the starters menu choosing the
Salted Beef Brisket Croquette, served on
smoked chipotle mayonnaise going together
with perfection! Slowly smoked beef that has
been cooked to perfection, pulled and melting
in your mouth with every bite & then onto the
Parma Ham & Asparagus Spears served with a
poached egg, béarnaise sauces &beetroot
powder, which I have to admit might possibly
be my new favorite starter right now!
WOW! Is that a whole chicken??
For my main course I tried the Indian Style
Chicken Kiev, which I was excited to see what
this had in store for me. When it arrived I was
shocked at the enormous chicken breast I had
on my plate, sourced from a local farm. Inside I
found an oozing stuffing of Indian butter
pouring with flavor, adding amazing juiciness
to the perfectly cooked chicken breast. A
Lentil Dahl’s never had so much flavor!
Combining the perfect amount of Indian
Spices giving the meal the perfect amount of
heat so everyone can enjoy it, but giving it that
Indian kick we all love.
Soft fall off the bone Confit Duck also served
up a treat with gorgeous presentation, soft
tenderness and fantastic flavors added to by
the Beetroot Gel and Blueberry Glaze, who’d
of thought? But it works so well!
But what has to be the most special and
surprising part of this dish is the Hoisin Duck
Bon Bon, HEAVEN! I would eat these as a main;
they need to be added to the Starters or Sides
Menu for sure! Trust me you’ll love them.
Dog lovers out there;
the terrace is a lovely place to rest up after a
long walk around the grounds and have a bite
to eat or a drink in the sun, with plenty of
water bowls for the four legged friends.

Where can you get your hands on CHIP’D?

Who’s excited for Pride 2019?
Well there’s a treat in store as Liverpool Pride has
major plans for this years festival to be big enough
to crown Liverpool as the most friendly LGBT+
region in the UK.
The event will be led by the new Liverpool City
Region Pride Foundation, Co-chairs Andi Herring
and John Bird said: “We have been overwhelmed
by the support shown to the LCR Pride Foundation
since its launch at the start of the year. Looking
forward hosting an event that aims to top the
50,000 that attended last year’s Pride Festival in
2018. The foundation will also be including a full
calendar of events and community projects around
the whole of Merseyside.
