Don’t engage

'deaf

ministers',

inventor

advises Buhari

By Dennis Agbo

E

N U G U — A

mathematical

inventor, Dr Dikeohaa

Okwu has asked President

Muhammadu Buhari to

refrain from appointing

politicians he described as

‘deaf ministers' while

constituting a cabinet in his

second term.

He advised that

President Buhari should

tap from the various

potentials available in the

country in the formation of

his cabinet for the nation’s

economic rejuvenation.

Okwu, the inventor of

‘Dikeohamatics’, a

dramatized system of

solving mathematics,

stated that the

‘Mathematical geometric

teaching aides’ he invented

was comparable to ‘the

Mathematical sets

imported into the country

from China and other parts

of the world.

He pleaded with the federal

government to partner with him

so he can create millions of job for

Nigerians through mass

production of mathematical

equipment and conserve foreign

exchange.

Speaking with Vanguard,

Okwu said “I am very confident

that President Buhari in his

second term will not engage deaf

Ministers, those who will not

answer calls on ideas and

innovations for our collective

efforts in nation building. The

government must have to look

inwards and utilize our own

technology, for us to compete

globally. Nigerian inventors are

capable of advancing our own

technology.”

He emphasized that the study

of Mathematics in our school

system is the bedrock of

advancing science and

technology in Nigeria, stating

that his invention

‘Dikeohamatics’ was meant to let

pupils and students play

mathematics as games and by so

doing develop love for the subject,

instead of staying away from

mathematics classes.
