We call ourselves the M & M Committee. This simply means that we work to advertise the
GWSA and gain memberships. We also like to affirm and celebrate our existing members.
We advertise in the various media in our area, both print and online. This past year, we
contracted with CJOY & Magic FM to run ads on our activities. We were included as part of
their wellness program and website advertising. Writing commercials is a new level of fun.
Trade Shows and speeches are main places for us to spread the word on how great GWSA is.
The past year, we have upgraded all our printed material related to GWSA and membership.
There is also now a full procedural guideline for taking memberships online.
We have hosted three New Members’ Receptions. Approximately 150 people came to hear more
about the programs and workings of our organization. Our Activity Group leaders spoke briefly
about the individual programs.
This past year, we started the GWSA Email Update. This mid-month mailing informs people of
current events.
Our Open House provided a great time for all. There were tours and prizes and the people taking
out new memberships received a plant.
This coming year, we hope to upgrade our display materials and our promotional items. We also
want to update our GWSA Video and prepare for the visual presentation at “The Day Before”.
As you can guess, we are a busy committee of hard-working members and we have a lot of fun
while we do all this. My thanks to the wonderful people who are committed to building our
Organization.
