Above - NASA’s press release version of Burns Cliff made using infrared as a colour and destroying<br />

the contrast and image sharpness. The sky has been literally erased and painted over, then blurred<br />

into the crater edge. There is no good technical or scientific reason for this representation. The<br />

colours are so far off that it barely qualifies as a picture of <strong>Mars</strong>.<br />

appear to a human observer. Note a slight pink tint to the blue sky, very similar to what we see in<br />
