we found a baby dragon by the river,<br />
near Parque das Caldas!<br />

October is synonymous with Halloween – a<br />

Kindness Day<br />
"In a world where you can<br />
be anything, be kind."<br />

November 13th was selected as World<br />
Kindness Day for 2018. At CBAM we<br />
celebrated kindness during the whole<br />
month to remind our students that it is<br />
important to be kind to others. We should<br />
all think about random acts of kindness,<br />
simple things like holding the door open<br />
for the next person, feeding the birds,<br />
helping animals in need. There are many<br />
acts we can do for others. Students read<br />
the “Giving Tree” – a story about a tree<br />
who loved a little boy and gave<br />
everything she had to the little boy. A sad<br />
ending, reminding us that we are often<br />
very selfish and only think of ourselves<br />
and our needs. A strong message that<br />
should be shared with children and<br />
adults alike.<br />

Christmas<br />
December is always an exciting month<br />
for all because of Christmas. It was time<br />
again for another challenge. A Christmas<br />
stocking contest. Once again students<br />
and parents were invited to make a<br />
beautiful stocking which could be hung<br />
on the mantle of a fireplace. The<br />
stockings came in many colours and<br />
sizes and the 8 judges sure did have a<br />
hard time choosing the winners. Well<br />
done to all – a true display of creativity.<br />
