The SUPPORT class was full of action and the top 3 after 20 rounds of

racing saw young Adam Bac , Erhardt Beukes and Francois du Plooy

all looking a little tired as they lined up for the last round. It was chaos in

Log Jam as all 3 got stuck but Adam on his Yamaha got away and it was

game over. Erhardt in 2nd and Francois in 3rd

The JUNIORS saw race favourite Titus Everson get caught out and finish

5th overall and the young Matt Battersby was certainly rider of the day

with a smooth performance. Luca van Zyl in 2nd and Zak Gulliver in 3rd

Where to from here for ICE?

It’s just going to get Bigger and Better with a 3 part series next year

in PE, KZN and Joeys. The Red Cherry team are guaranteeing an

international Rider for each event and the likes of Gomez , Lettenbichler ,

Walker , Bazuziak and Cody Webb are all on the ICE radar.

This has to be the maddest , baddest , wildest event on the Enduro

calendar and it is spectator heaven

Our Jaun Delport went along to take the photo’s, heres what he had to

say:

The event almost snuck past us, we were fortunate enough to see a

social media post regarding the event and decided to pop in.

What a day, hot, dry and dusty but so much of fun. The course was

short, tight and technical, with a layout that enabled great viewing from

everywhere.

Billy Bolt rode all of his heats despite being treated for illness the previous

day, showing us just how the International champions do it. Our local

lads made a really good showing riding against Billy Bolt and left us

feeling proud of our local talent. The juniors were the stars of the show,

letting everyone know just how much grit and determination they had.

Brian Capper was on lunch duty, entertaining the crowds in spectacular

fashion and hopefully encouraging a new generation of trial bike riders.

All in all, it was a brilliant day enjoyed by all, I for one would love to see

more events like this in an urban setting making it easier for spectators to

attend.

Check out www.innercityenduro for all the info.. dates for 2020 will be

finalised by end of November.
