ANOTHER SIGN the district is growing
at a quick rate – more e-scooters.
On page 1 today, we reveal Lincoln
couple Angela and Phillip Eberhard have
set up Lava Scooters.
They have applied to the district council
to operate 50 e-scooters in and between Lincoln, Rolleston and
Prebbleton, creating competition for Lime which could also get
under way in Rolleston in December.
Having said that, the odd Lime scooter has already invaded
the district. Usually you will see them abandoned on a Saturday
or Sunday morning, probably the transport mode of choice for
a long ride home from Christchurch after an ale or seven.
Probably also cheaper than a cab or an Uber, and with a full
head of steam on board who is worried about the temperature?
