Townsville has a rapidly developing

handmade and craft industry thanks to it’s

monthly Renegade Handmade Market. The

Renegade Market began in early 2013 with a

small handful of just 16 stalls and has grown

into a collection of approximately 80 makers

on the 2nd Sunday of each month. The

Marian School hall on Hugh Street, Currajong

overflows with an amazing assortment of

local creatives selling their wares and 100%

locally made products.

If you aren’t in Townsville on the 2nd Sunday

but you’d like to get some unique Australian

made gifts, you can always pop into the

Renegade Gift Shop opposite Otto’s Fresh

Food Market. When you step inside the

Warrina Arcade you will find a hidden gem

with amazing pastries, pies and coffee and

unique shops. The Renegade Gift Shop is

located right near the coffee counter so you

can place your order and browse while you

wait. Townsville has some fantastic little gems

if you just know where to look.
