MIPIM 2020 - People, Place
and Performance Driving
Outstanding Growth
Our theme for 2020 will focus on people, place and performance and how
these aspects can drive growth at a UK regional and national level.
Throughout MIPIM week we will discuss and debate the importance of
growing a balanced economy that attracts and retains talented people; the
role of place in creating the right conditions – exploring topics such as how
communities shape the culture; quality of place; creating an authentic sense
of identity – and the performance of the economy. Cheshire and Warrington’s
economy is currently outperforming most of the UK. We will discuss how we
maintain this, what steps are needed to grow it further, and how the Northern
Powerhouse can capitalise on this strength.
Events programme
We will once again deliver a strong programme of events that builds further on
our collective presence. Activity will be enhanced further through collaboration
and we will be working closely with NP11/Northern Powerhouse and national
partners, such as UK Government, to support positioning of Cheshire and
Warrington and our contribution to the Northern and UK economy.
