Since 2017 we also offer fresh fish to

our customers. Our employees drive

several times a week to the fish

auction to buy the highest quality of

fish and to process it according to

customer requirements.

in 2020.

2016 The smokehouse was expanded

with an extra coldstore, production

facility and office.

2012 A new ultramodern

smokehouse was opened in

Volendam.

2003 The buyout of the company Lou Snoek B.V.

took place. Various daily fresh smoked fish like eel,

herring, sprat and mackerel were added to the

assortment. Today, Mooijer's smoked fish is being sold

in many fish deli's to consumers in many European

countries.

1997 A sales office with storage capacity was built in Amsterdam. In this trendy food center

at the Jan van Galenstraat in Amsterdam small retail and food service type customers can

pick up a wide range of products. Dozens of customers (mainly from the catering industry)

come here to get their frozen and fresh fish on a daily basis.

we deliver our products to customers in almost 20 European countries. We

are continually working on improving our products and services. For us one

We daily work on making our products and production process more

The history of Mooijer-Volendam B.V. goes back to the

year1932, The current owners Carlo and René Mooijer

started expanding the small prawn business to a global

wholesale in frozen, fresh and smoked fish products, where

quality and customer focus are first.

The company HOLSU (abbreviation for Holland-Suriname) was

founded in 1996 in Suriname, together with two partners from

Harlingen (NL). Nowadays, five boats sail under its own

management and they daily catch fresh Caribbean fish that is

being processed and exported to The Netherlands, China,

Jamaica, Japan and the US.

A smokehouse of 1,500 m2, a coldstore with a capacity of about 6,000 pallets and a transport

network with 15 own management trucks. We work quickly and are very flexible.

Commitment and attention are our standard. We deliver a lot of ethnic food. For each market, we have

employees that understand the culture and are fluent in the language. In our sales team,

we have dedicaled colleagues for the Dulch, English, Russian, Chinese, Vietnamese and African markel.

and visiting farms and processing

companies is standard procedure, as is

maintaining regular contact with

fisheries who catch wild fish.

We have storage, processing and

distribution all under one roof. This

enables maximum control over the

entire chain.

In our purchasing process we pay a lot of

attention to sustainable fishing and good

aquaculture practices; we have many

quality and sustainability certificates such

as MSC, ASC, ESF, BAP and BIO (SKAL).
