EURONICS RIDING

HIGH AFTER

ROBUST 2018

Electronics retailer Euronics had a robust 2018, reporting

a healthy turnover of €19.78bn (up 3.6% on the previous

year). IFA International asked Euronics President Hans

Carpels what product categories he regards as being the

“sweet spots” at the moment.

We see several categories that are

really favoured by the consumer, but

overall we see a tendency towards

higher quality product sales in all

categories. More specifically, audio

categories are doing great, such

as wireless speakers, headphones,

personal assistants. Also small

domestic appliances across a range

of product groups, and not to forget

all kitchen appliances, i.e. built-in

appliances, cookware and small

appliances. On the IT-side, we see

strong growth in Gaming and PCs.

There are several obvious reasons:

for professionals as for consumers

the trends to watch for the end of

year,

It is an update for all in the trade

with their industry partners

For the retailers is no less than an

obligation to be here.
