Wat Chedi Liam or Ku Kham Temple is located next to Koh Klang road,Chiang Mai.
Chiangmai Province was built in 1831. In the King Meng Rai the great's era. 5 years later
after his majesty attacked Lamphun, he decided to move to the northeast. In 1820, the
army came to build a new city along the side of the Ping River and named the city
"Wiang Kum Kam". Later, in 1830, his highness allowed the local expert to take pictures
of the pagoda at Wat Cham Thewi, Lamphun, as a model for worshiping. The expert
built a new pagoda with a base width of 8 meters, 1 cubit and 22 meters high at Wiang
Khum Kam. Years later, the temple was abandoned and desolate for hundreds years.
In 1908, a wealthy man from Burma came to see and truly believe in history of the
temple, so he tried to restore the pagoda, using architecture from Myanmar.
Therefore, the pagoda has Burmese architecture style, instead of Khmer art.

KADLUANG
Kad Luang, the grand market,
is an old market that has a
long history for hundreds of
years. Visitors and the people
of Chiang Mai themselves had
to go shopping and buy
belongings at Kad Luang. This

Tha Pae Gate is the eastern gate and is one of the 5 inner city
gates of Wiang Chiang Mai At present. It is the only city gate
that has a window. The Tha Pae Gate, inner floor, was originally
a 2-door gate, positioned opposite each other and with a
fortress protruding beside the city gate.
It was used as a fortress to protect the city in times of war (As shown on the Chiang Mai city map,
1893. In the reign of King Inthawichayanon). Tha Pae Gate which is currently located Chiang Mai
Municipality and the Fine Arts Department jointly built a new year in 1985 based on historical and
archaeological evidence.
The original Tha Pae Gate was originally located at the
intersection of Wat Saen Fang. Which is the door of the
outer city wall. Later, when the outer wall line was
dismantled, only at the Chiang Mai Gate. Tha pae Gate is

MAE SA WATER FALL
Mae Sa Waterfall is a medium sized waterfall located in Mae Rim district.
There is water flowing all year round in Doi Suthep-Pui National Park.
There are 17 streams that flow together into the Mae Sa river. This
waterfall is divided into 10 floors, each floor is about 100 - 150 meters apart, a
total of about 1,500 meters. It was first discovered before the year 1927 and
in the year 2505 was announced as Mae Sa Waterfall Park. It is included as
part of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park in the next 20 years, able to

MAE SA ELLEPHANT CAMP
is the largest elephant village at Mae Rim district.

BAAN TAWAI
Baan Tawai is 300 years old village. In Chamadevi monarch, she was travelling with wagons

chamadevi traveeled through the village, the villagers met up and to bring fruit and other
valuable presents to show respect and sacrifice for her, therefore making this village known
as "Baan Tawaii" or "Village of given".

government promoted Baan
Tawaii as artisans village.

“Phra that doi suthep temple”
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is the most
important temple in Chiang Mai, which was
built at the beginning in 19th century in the
reign of King Kue Na Thammikarat. The

Royal Park Rajapruek
Royal Flora Park means the king's royal garden. This

“Rajapruek Royal Flora Park”

park is covered about 500 rai of area. This park has
various species of plants and flowers, not only Thai's
but also other countries all around the world. There
are many interesting buildings, such as, "Hor come
luang" or the royal grand hall, the king's resident, and
foreign design building from all over the world.
The most outstanding building is "Hor come
luang" which shows King Rama 9th's
intelligence.
In addition, Royal Park Rajapruck has big roads inside. In the evening many people Come to walk
and run and do some exercises.This place is a great spot for visitors to take photos as well.

Ton Kwen temple or Intarawas
temple’s instruction was
finished in Buddhist era year
2412. King “Gaviloros
suriyawong”, king of Chingmai’s
era. The name “Ton Kwen”
means “Takhop tree”. Maybe
there were Takhop trees in this
area in the past.
In addition, Ton Kwen temple is
famous for beautiful
architecture, wood carving as
flower patterns or Naga

THREE KING MONUMENT
Three king monument located in the center of
Chiang Mai, in the area where palaces used to
stand. The Three Kings Monument is dedicated to
the three Northern Lao Kings who founded the
city of Chiang Mai. It is the venue of the King’s
birthday celebrations in early December annually.

Huai tueng tao is a project under the royal initiative of
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX, wishes
for the village area to be developed and also to be a
natural tourist attraction in the urban area.
Huai Tueng Tao has been given the nickname Chiang
Mai beach with sandy beaches like the sea. It is located
near Chiang Mai city and very popular among Chiang
Mai people. Huay Tueng Tao is a medium-sized
reservoir, which is a royal project. B
It is built to be a water reservoir for solving water
shortage problems for nearby villagers. The reservoir
