70 years ago the open cell PU (polyurethane) foam, in
its everyday name the foam rubber caused with noble
simplicity a revolution in the world of comfort, forced
a whole industry to its knees, and became a billion dollar
business.
The upholstered furniture production as an industry
had to bow its head to the novelty, and whether it
wanted to or not, it had to be transformed.
We say nothing less than that we are holding in our hands the next revolutionary

The consequence is unnecessary discomfort, soon a feeling of being
benumbed and discomfort is occurred in case of sitting stools. And in
case of lying stools sleep disorders, even after longer sleep fatigue, even
concrete sleeping sicknesses.

Not all the same in which comfort.
The furniture industry now produces seating and
lying products with fixed hardness/softness, that
means mostly the customer has no possibility to
chose among the different hardness variants, because
a given furniture is manufactured only with a
cushion of a given hardness.
Exceptions of this are the lying mattresses, where
the customer has to decide while buying it, which
hardness of it will be the most appropriate for him
in the future. This is often not successful.
In addition to this, the comfort feeling and requirement
of man, depending on conditions, continuously
changes to the contrary of earlier choice.
The seating and lying surfaces of adjustable hardness
make it possible to accommodate at once and
the most comfortable pastime on the given furniture,
with an only movement, with the same simplicity,
as to adjust the height of the office swivel chair.
Later it comes to light that softer or harder would
have been better.

Why hasn’t this existed before?
Because furniture industry is such price sensitive
that a similar technology like this, was up-to-now
too expensive and complicated to be built in into
existing furniture systems.
What is now through EFC technology at our disposal,
that cannot be realized cheaper and easier, and
that’s what the market is looking for.
Mass production of seat cushions and lying mattresses with adjustable
hardness, at negligible cost comparing with the price of the furniture.
EFC is an easily adaptable complementary technology
which can be easily taken over by the furniture
industry even in case of currently manufactured furniture
products. And through which the softness of
any sponge is with one movement adjustable.
The fabrication of sitting and lying conveniences,
chairs, armchairs, couches, beds, mattresses with
adjustable hardness has become so easy like applying
the foam rubber.
The technology can be adapted SIMPLY and IN
MASS QUANTITY, so the ergonomics of any chair,
armchair, bed, reclining place can be made individually
adjustable.

Market demand – the compelling
force of end customers
Upon a test in an exclusive furniture shop on
a prototype couch, out of 50 test subjects
85% of them would have bought the couch at
once. The interviewed customers have stated
a 97% certain comfort difference in case of a
product constructed with a 2-position valve
between a valve opened or closed. 94% diagnosed
a significantly better sitting comfort by
an opened valve, while 64% judged the lying
comfort better by the closed valve, so they
needed adjustment for their ideal comfort.
Thus 74% of them felt the couch significantly
comfortable either as a sitting or a lying stool.
We have no concurrence, but if we had, the EFC
technology grants advantages not easy to compete with.

● Unbeatable price/value rate. This effect cannot be created cheaper or simpler.
● It works by all kinds of foam, seat or lying cushion: rubber foam, memory foam,
spring pad.
● The surface remains elastic, but won’t be pushed at a point. Thus it is able to divide
the load coming to one point.
● It results in products with longer life (after 40.000 loading cycle (10 years) 2,3%
height loss, 2,6-7,6% softening, decrease on hardness)
● Environmentally friendly technology
● Doesn’t use energy
● It works in case of spring mattresses, too, those less burdening the nature
● It increases the life of the foam mattresses thus generating less trash
● Introducing the technology can result in given cases even in cheaper sitting and lying
stools, or on the other hand it can significantly increase profit. Since it works also
with less elastic and less cubic meter weight foam and claims simpler supporting
systems, we can achieve the same or even higher comfort quality even at a lower
price.

At all, how big business are we talking about?
According to furniture industry experts the average furniture factories
would apply the EFC technology in the first round in ca. 10 % of their
selection. E.g. IKEA produces daily 300.000 stools with pillow without
the further beds and mattresses.
The 10% of this means daily 30.000 seating furniture, where there is only
1 pillow in the one, and 6 ones in the other. In spite of this generally we
are counting only with 1 sitting surface.
This would mean daily 30.000 pieces, i.e. monthly 660 thousand, yearly 8 million pieces of EFC pillow.
How big profit would this all mean?
In case we sell one pillow with a profit of 1500 HUF, that means daily 45
million, monthly 1 billion, yearly 12 billion HUF profit. But according to our
pre-calculations, there can be forecast a profit of 4000 HUF per pillow.
Daily more than 100 million HUF profit in case of only one customer, by
only a 10% application rate of EFC.
That is monthly 2,64 billion, and yearly 21,7 billion HUF profit
And that all only in case of one big customer, without the lying mattresses,
calculated with 10% of the seat cushions (pillows).
