The school held a sportsthemed mufti-day on Thursday to help 11-year-old Lucia Gale play for the New Zealand junior tennis team. Lucia (below) will compete at tournaments in Noumea and Australia after the school holidays. The Cashmere Tennis Club junior has had international success in recent years. Lucia travelled with the New Zealand under-11 team to Australia in June and July to take on top international players at Brisbane’s Rod Laver tournament. She has been part of Tennis New Zealand talent identification camps over the past season.
