Springs Move
BBryan always knew that he would be working with equipment of some
type. He just never imagined that he would own his own company.
He started out working for an excavation company that dug underground
utility lines with his good friend William Segar. In 2003, after two years of
talking Bryan into it, Bryan and William went after work one night, sweaty, dirty,
at almost closing time, and ordered a 337 mini excavator and an A300 skid steer
loader and started their own company. They worked for three years together then
William decided to go out on his own and get into bigger equipment. They are
still friends to this day. Now, after 16 years of being in business, Bryan owns
9 pieces of Bobcat equipment along with numerous attachments. When he has
down-time, he enjoys four-wheeling and fishing.
His relationship with his salesman, which has developed into a friendship,
and how Bobcat Company stands behind their equipment are a couple of reasons
why he loves Bobcat equipment.

SNEAK PEEK
Coming this fall, the new R-Series E145 Bobcat excavator!
As the largest model in the lineup, the E145 expands the excavator family with a 14-ton size class that
bridges the gap between compact and heavy excavators.

less ground disturbance and the durability you’ve come to expect.
Improve precision with its available 2D laser and 3D technology which interface with the cab’s
deluxe display. Wheels positioned behind the attachment allow for tight, even paths. It also means a
larger box to get more out of every pass.
Improve efficiency with a design that moves materials in either forward or reverse. Don’t let a worn
blade slow you down. The cutting edge on the moldboard is reversible. Flip it over and start fresh.
Finally, all the features of HD box blade were designed to make working on slopes a smooth as the
finish this attachment leaves.

When your equipment is talking to you, you need to listen. Understanding service codes is one of the first steps in
protecting your equipment investment. Here a few non-critical codes that you should know that can cause critical
damage if ignored. All of these, if ignored, can cause your factory warranty to be voided.
• Air Filter - A plugged air filter can cause turbo damage which leads to reduced engine power and can eventually
lead to engine failure.
• Fuel Filter/Water- Water in the fuel can lead to fuel injection system damage. This can cause reduced engine power
and eventual complete engine failure.
• DEF Code - Low DEF fluid or poor quality DEF fluid leads to reduced engine power. If ignored, it can eventually
lead to engine failure. Check fluid level regularly and add as needed.

WHAT IS A MACHINE IQ?
Machine IQ uses electronic communications to make your dealership aware of a machine’s status at
any time, from a computer or mobile device.
• Your Bobcat machine includes a device that enables dealers to monitor machines remotely.
• This information enables your dealer to provide a higher level of service with visibility to critical
codes, regular maintenance requirements and theft monitoring.
• Your dealer can use this information to respond proactively to the service needs of your machine, providing the best possible
uptime and productivity.
WHAT INFORMATION WILL THE
DEALERSHIP SEE?
To provide this complimentary service, the location
of the machine,operating hours and fault codes are
monitored. The machine transmits data:
• Each time it is started/stopped
• Every 20 minutes while running
• Each time a critical code occurs
• When the machine is moving and not running
(trailering mode)
The data is sent via satellite or cellular communication,
at no charge to you. Service is provided for 36 months.
WHAT INFORMATION CAN I SEE?
Via the operator portal at My.Bobcat.com, owners can
access machine information as well. This enables you
to watch your machines more closely and proactively
perform service to maximize productivity.

Acid Stains - Acid staining is a classic decorative concrete technique
