It was effectively the opening round of the premier cricket season after week one was rainedoff. Leeston-Southbridge opening bowler Sam Chamberlain was the chief-destroyer taking 4-21. Leeston-Southbridge were in early trouble at 26 for two before Harry Chamberlain (37), Tim Gruijters (36) and Ben Chamberlain (24) steadied the middle-order.
