Is BACK
Is BACK
Friends,
In 2014 we started an initiative called
CONNECT–a quarterly internal
newsletter, to ensure that we are all more closely connected with each other.
This not only helped in building an environment of healthy, transparent &
ongoing dialogue, but also helped in inculcating a desire in all of us to
transparently share ideas, opinions and suggestions. There was then a pause
for several quarters as we all got busy in multifarious activities.
It is time now to start getting connected again through this medium. So here
we present you the next series of Connect. Let us continue communicating,
sharing ideas, sharing opinions, our happiness, our achievements on this
common platform called Connect.
You are most welcome to send us
your personal and professional
achievements as well as articles of common interest for publishing in the
subsequent editions of Connect. Our editorial team shall edit the content if &
wherever required & thereon take it forward for publishing.
Look forward to everyone taking out sometime & contributing to connecting
through CONNECT !
KEEP YOUR BATTERIES CHARGED
Editor's Pick
Just think about it... When you face an unfavorable situation or a setback and that makes you
feel like giving up, it is your inner drive, your self-motivation that pushes you to go on. If you
are self motivated, you will continue to learn and grow regardless of the specic situation.
That's why it's such an essential requirement for achieving your goals, realizing your
dreams, and emerging as an achiever. The fact is that the most important driving force of
life is self motivation. Fortunately, there are some self-motivation techniques that can help
you get on track. By tapping into the power of your mind, you can supercharge yourself and
be motivated to achieve anything you want. Go ahead:
Visualize
Imagine how you would feel to
achieve your goals. What will be your
emotions? Visualize achieving your
goal and you as the winner having
achieved everything that you want.
Accept Failures as Learning
Keep track of your goals
You may have the impression that
you’re not going anywhere;
because you’re skipping all those
little milestones you go through
every day. Challenge yourself to
a c c o m p l i s h y o u r g o a l s o n
deadlines set by you.
Failure, like success, is just a
result of your actions, nothing
more. No one on this earth has
achieved success without a pinch
of failures. Having learnt how not
to do a task, start with an
alternative approach with double
vigor and determination.
Reward Yourself
If you accomplish any task,
reward yourself with anything
you love. You can even tell
someone else to reward you
when you achieve your goal/
milestone. Believe me; it can be
fun and is really effective.
Associate with Positive People
Look for the company of
positive, optimistic,
energetic people that will
shift your vibrations in
the right direction. Be
selective and choose your
friends to make sure that
you are surrounded with
positive people.
De-stress Yourself
Each individual has different
ways to relieve stress. It could
be music for some and walk for
others; or yoga and meditation
for some or watching a movie
for some. Identify what relieves
your stress and use that
whenever you feel the need.
Read Success Stories
Get inspiration from the
success stories of the people
who inspire you. Admire them
after reading about their
success. The external factors
alone are not enough; but
they greatly supplement your
internal motivation to multiply
the effect.
Focus
Lack of focus drifts you to doing
other things and you will not
advance much in your main goal.
As a consequence, you will not see
signicant progress resulting into
de-motivation. Ensure that your
goals remain under your focus –
always! There is no better time to
act than NOW. You can achieve
whatever you want. Charge your
batteries and go ahead.
Having decided to keep your goals in sight, and yourself on a positive track, nothing–neither other people, nor your
own fears, nor lack of condence–can hold you back. Remember that self-motivation is not a one time activity; you
need to keep on working on it and gradually it becomes a part of your personality...
Smile
“A simple way to make a good rst impression.” Every business
encounter-across the desk, at the customer’s front door, and even on
the telephone-should begin with a smile.
Listen
Customers and clients want to hear what you have to say, but they
want you to hear what they have to say rst. Beyond that, consider
this: How can you know what customers need if you don’t give them
chance to tell you?
Avoid
arguments
This would seem to be almost a “given,” but far too many people,
perhaps in their zeal, engage in arguments with a customer who
shows resistance or says he or she likes another brand. Be respectful
of the customer’s opinion. Do not argue, criticize, or condemn.
If
appropriate,
apologize
If, at any point in a sales transaction or pitch, you discover you have
made an error, don’t make excuses. Say you are sorry and do so
emphatically. Move on ! You may be surprised at how quickly the whole
incident is forgotten.
