important but we do strongly believe that you get 

what you pay for. 

We are proud to operate our own fleet of quality touring 

coaches which offer modern creature comforts, comprehensive 

safety features and are maintained to the highest standards. 

We are a family business who have been serving the local area 

for over 20 years – since 1996. After all these years we know how 

important our team of drivers and office staff are in making your 

holiday the very best it can be. We hope that once you have met 

them, travelled in our coaches, enjoyed the company of our

A £40 per person deposit is payable to secure your seat. Your 

balance payment is due 6 weeks before departure. If you are 

booking within 6 weeks of departure full payment is required. 

If your holiday includes Home Collection we will write to you 2 weeks 

before departure to advise your collection time.

We operate a fleet of modern touring 

coaches to offer a high level of comfort 

and incorporate the latest safety 

features. Our coaches are specified to 

provide generous legroom making for 

a comfortable journey. Air conditioning 

is fitted throughout and all vehicles also 

have toilet facilities, comfortable 

reclining seats, armrests, tinted glass and seat belts.

the safety of our passengers is our number one priority.

Throughout the 

brochure you will 

notice that our Home 

Collection Service is 

indicated on some of 

the tours. On these holidays you will 

be collected and returned to your 

home via a taxi organised by us. On these tours we operate a limited 

amount of pick up places ensuring that your holiday will start and end 

efficiently. To qualify for the free Home Collection Service you must live in 

the area from Poole to Lymington and south of Ferndown.

We are members of the Bonded Coach Holiday government 

approved consumer protection scheme administered by the 

Confederation of Passenger Transport UK. This ensures that, in 

relation to the coach package holidays described in this brochure, 

your monies are protected by a bond in the unlikely event of our 

ceasing to trade. You are recommended to inspect our current membership

comprehensive selection of local collection points. We only collect 

from the local area so there will be no waiting at motorway services 

for other vehicles. The vehicle that collects you will be the only

Unbelievable value 4 day winter break to the lovely town of 

Bideford set in the beautifully dramatic scenery of North Devon. 

Nestled alongside the River Torridge, the ancient market town and 

port of Bideford is a delightful setting for a break away. Once Britain’s 

third largest port, Bideford is a thriving shopping centre with an historic 

Pannier Market and many antique shops and cafes amongst the narrow 

backstreets and alleyways that lead up from the quay. The tree-lined 

quay offers a lovely scene at any time of year or you can head over the 

historic stone bridge to join the beautiful Tarka Trail and enjoy the 

views over the river and surrounding countryside. 

This beautiful area is dotted with many historic towns and villages. 

We are delighted to be returning to the Durrant House Hotel for this 

fun break offered at such an amazing price. The 3* Durrant House, is 

located on the outskirts of Bideford overlooking the estuary and offers 

comfortable accommodation and entertainment. Book early to avoid 

disappointment - we even include excursions! 

Itinerary: 

Day 1: Departing your local pick-up 

point around 8.00/9.00am, we travel 

to Bideford with comfort stops as 

required including a lunch stop. We 

arrive at our hotel mid afternoon with 

time to settle in to your room before 

dinner. 

Day 2: Enjoy a full English breakfast 

before we board the coach and enjoy 

some time in the centre of Bideford 

to explore the shops and river front. 

We continue to historic Barnstaple 

with a chance to explore the famous 

Pannier Market before returning to 

the hotel. 

Day 3: Today we have a mystery 

excursion in the local area. Where will 

it be? 

Day 4: Sadly, after breakfast we leave 

Bideford and head home. We have an 

extended lunch stop at the excellent 

Clark’s Village shopping centre 

before arriving back in the local area 

around 3.00pm.

We are delighted to be staying at this 3* rated 

hotel situated on the outskirts of Bideford with 

beautiful views over the Torridge Valley and 

offering outstanding value for money. 

The comfortable bedrooms have en suite 

bathrooms and facilities include tea/coffee making facilities, clock 

radio, hair dryer, colour TV and iron. The hotel offers excellent facilities 

with a comfortable lounge and entertainment during our stay. Why not 

enjoy a drink in the Appledore Bar before taking your seat in the 

elegant Olive Restaurant for your 3 course evening meal. In the

Amazing value Winter Break to Eastbourne! 

One of the most popular destinations with our customers, Eastbourne 

is a refined Victorian seaside resort offering a fine array of facilities for 

tourists. There is a lovely level promenade, attractive gardens, a 

splendid Victorian pier, theatres, an art gallery and excellent shopping 

and cafes where you can watch the world go by - perfect for a relaxing 

break away from it all. The town is surrounded by the stunning South 

Downs with a wealth of excursion possibilities in the region. We are 

delighted to be staying at the popular Palm Court Hotel located close 

to the seafront. Come along for some Winter fun! 

Itinerary: 


your local pick up point home

route for lunch before arriving at the 

hotel mid-afternoon with time for a 

stroll. During our stay at the hotel, 

dinner is served in the restaurant with 

3 courses and choice of menu.

Day 2: A free day today for you to 

relax around the hotel and explore 

the town. The hotel is ideally located 

on the level promenade, close to the 

seafront with the shops only a short 

stroll away. 

Day 3: Today we shall have an 

excursion along the coast for some 

free time in Brighton. One of our 

most popular day excursion 

destinations, cosmopolitan Brighton 

has much to offer the visitor - with 

museums, excellent shopping, a wide 

choice of eateries plus the impressive 

new i360 viewing tower. 

Day 4: Sadly, we leave Eastbourne 

and head home, stopping in the 

historic town of Chichester for lunch 

before returning to the local area 


Palm Court Hotel 

This attractive Regency property has an 

excellent location in Eastbourne. The seafront is 

only 50 yards from the seafront and the level 

Promenade with the famous bandstand nearby. 

The town centre shops, cafes and restaurants 

are a 10 minute stroll. There is a ramped 

entrance to the hotel entrance if required. The 

staff and management are excellent hosts – making for a lovely break 

away. Decorated in a traditional style with plenty of space in the 

public areas to relax and enjoy your stay. There is a separate Lounge 

or you can enjoy a drink or bite to eat in a comfy armchair in the 

Lounge Bar. Free WiFi throughout the hotel. The restaurant serves a 

classic British menu with 3 course choice of menu in the evening and a 

hot breakfast served at the table. The bedrooms are a good size and 

offer tea and coffee making facilities, free toiletries, television, radio, 

hairdryer and ironing facilities. Good quality en suite bathrooms with 

bath or shower. An excellent hotel – great staff, good food and clean

Come along and join our break to one of Britain’s favourite 

holiday destinations - on the English Riviera. Blessed with a 

balmy climate and famous for it's palm trees, it's easy to see why 

Torquay has attracted visitors since Victorian times. There is stunning 

scenery along the coast road and historic towns are dotted throughout 

the region. The traditional harbour and stylish Princess Pier marina area

The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre 

of Remembrance; a spiritually uplifting place which honours the 

fallen, recognises service and sacrifice, and fosters pride in our 

country. The Arboretum is part of The Royal British Legion family of 

charities and is set in the pleasant Staffordshire countryside between 

Litchfield and Burton-upon-Trent. Visitors enjoy a wide variety of trees, 

many of which have a relevance to the memorials around them. Planting 

started in 1997 and there are already over 50,000 trees planted over the 

150 acre site. Conceived as a living tribute to the war time generations 

of the 20th Century, the Arboretum is a reminder for future generations

there are numerous gardens acknowledging the sacrifice of the civil 

services and many more. Many people have commented that a visit to

Close to the French border, the coastal resort of Roses lies 

on Spain’s beautiful Costa Brava in the district of Catalonia. 

The breathtaking coastline includes sandy beaches and 

intimate rocky coves but there is also a widely varying 

landscape from wetlands to the rocky region of the Cap de 

Creus with a variety of birds and wildlife. 

Roses is a modern tourist resort with an amazing history dating back to 

the Greeks and Romans, remains of which can be seen in the huge

Scarborough on the beautiful East Coast of Yorkshire was 

Britain’s first seaside resort - welcoming visitors for over 350 

years. The town has retained much of its charm with elegant

and cafes - it’s a lovely town to explore on foot with a long promenade 

and coastal walks for the more adventurous. The town is split in to two

Day 2: A lovely day out today as we 

head south along the coastline for 

renowned Burton Agnes Hall & 

Gardens. This celebrated Elizabethan 

Hall contains exquisite carvings and a 

superb art collection. A tour of the 

house is included with your holiday. 

Take a break and sample lunch in the 

café before enjoying the colourful 

gardens. Entrance included. On the 

way back to the hotel we shall have a 

scenic country drive. 

Day 3: A day at leisure today for you 

to relax around the town, take lunch

Book with Confidence 

In accordance with “The Package Travel, Package Tour Regulations 

1992” all passengers booking with Highcliffe Coach Holidays are 

fully bonded for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of 

all monies paid to us, including repatriation if required arising from 

the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to 

the insolvency of Highcliffe Coach Holidays. 

We are members of the Bonded Coach Holiday government approved consumer 

protection scheme administered by the Confederation of Passenger Transport 

UK. This ensures that, in relation to the coach package holidays described in this 

brochure, your monies are protected by a bond in the unlikely event of our 

ceasing to trade. You are recommended to inspect our current membership 

certificate at our registered office or alternatively go to www.bch-uk.org or 

telephone 0207 240 3131 to confirm our current membership.

confidence in your holiday booking with us. 

As members of the BCH we comply with the BCHG Trading Charter. A full 

copy will be provided with your booking or can be requested before booking 

if you prefer. 

GENERAL INFORMATION & ADVICE 

We want you to be as happy as possible from the moment you select your 

holiday until you return home. Along with the hotels which we use, we try our 

very best to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. To help you to make 

the right selection and for what you can expect from us, please take a moment 

to read the following points. 

LUGGAGE 

Due to space & weight restrictions the maximum suitcase size per 

person is 70 x 50 x 23cm. The maximum luggage weight per 

person is 20kg. A small separate holdall can also be taken on board. 

These restrictions are placed as a matter of safety and we thank you 

for your assistance. 

Porterage is provided at some of the hotels that we use. If not included it is 

usually available if required. This may incur a small additional charge which will 

need to be paid by you directly to the hotel. 

SEAT ALLOCATION 

Seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis when you book your 

holiday with us. If you have specific needs we would advise you to book as early 

as possible. We make every effort to abide by these allocations but on occasion, 

perhaps when a substitute coach is required, this may not be possible. We shall 

have no liability regarding any changes made.

SMOKING & ALCOHOL POLICY 

We operate a no smoking (including e-cigarettes) and no alcohol on board 

policy. We do have regular comfort stops.

HOTELS 

We offer a range of hotel accommodation which have different 

levels of comfort, facilities and quality. When selecting your 

holiday please ensure that the quality will match your requirements. 

This is generally related to the cost of the holiday but if you have any 

specific requirements please talk to our staff who will be able to help. 

Some of our hotels have chosen not to be members of the RAC/AA and as 

such are not star rated. This is not necessarily an indication of a lower standard 

of accommodation. 

If you have special requirements please notify us as soon as possible. The hotel 

will be notified before your arrival but please remember that rooms are 

allocated by the hotels. 

Rooms for Single Occupancy are in high demand and very often are sold out. 

Some hotels charge a supplement for these rooms, the cost of which is 

indicated in this brochure. 

We try to indicate all the room and hotel facilities for each hotel within the 

information in this brochure but cannot accept liability for any alterations made 

by the hotel before our arrival. Sometimes amenities such as swimming pools 

and lifts may be out of service whilst entertainment may be curtailed, altered or 

cancelled due to hotel number. 

Hot drink making facilities are not normally available in Continental hotel 

bedrooms but are usually available at the bar/café. 

When travelling abroad, you should expect the food to be served in the national 

custom and therefore different to British cuisine. For some hotels, particularly 

overnight hotels the restaurant will serve a set menu. If, when you are at the 

hotel, you require an alternative this is normally available but may incur an 

additional cost for you. 

These days, many hotels are excellent at providing Special Diets. Please let us 

know as soon as possible so they can make preparations early. 

Many meals are taken as a group in the restaurants and usually involve sharing 

tables with 2 or more other diners in our group. 

HOLIDAY ITINERARIES AND SUITABILITY 

We pride ourselves on the planning of our holidays to provide an exciting 

and enjoyable holiday experience. Many are planned months in advance and 

may require adjustment to the itineraries due to changes at destinations or 

attractions. 

Our itineraries are displayed in the brochure and you should carefully consider 

suitability before booking your holiday. You are, of course, quite welcome not 

to join any particular excursion during your holiday. 

Provided we are informed before departure, we are happy to take manual 

walking aids and folding wheelchairs up to 15kg in weight. Unfortunately, we are 

not able to carry any electric wheelchairs or scooters, although these are often 

available to hire at the destination. 

HOLIDAY CANCELLATION 

If we have to cancel a holiday this is always done well in advance of your 

departure date and a full refund is given. 

Due to the contract obligations and financial commitments we have with hotels 

if you have to cancel your holiday you will have to pay cancellation charges. 

These are based on the following scale depending on how close to departure 

we receive your cancellation. 

More than 42 days – Deposit only 

42-28 days – 30% 

27-14 days – 45% 

13-7 days – 60% 

Less than 7 days – 100% 

However, if you do cancel more than 42 days before your departure date we will 

transfer your deposit less a £10 per person administration fee to another holiday 

currently available. 

We do advise you to take out travel insurance to cover any of your loses.
