When I think about the month of November,

one thing usually comes to mind:

Thanksgiving. What comes with that are

visions of delicious dinners, beautiful fall

weather and family get-togethers.

It’s clear that Arian Carpio (seen on our

cover) has a lot to be thankful for. The wrestler

has overcome a lot in her life, and has put in the hard work on

and off the mat to be the success story she is today. This season,

she even won her first national title since high school. Read all

about her outlook on refusing rejection on page 42.

While seasonal soirees can be fun, the idea of a packed calendar,

along with other obligations, can be stressful, often putting

pressure on relationships. Learn how to survive the holiday season

and stay connected with your spouse on page 26.

In terms of the cooler weather, now is the time to take your

workout outside. Page 28 has an outdoor bodyweight workout

that can be done just about anywhere. And, if you’re choosing to

workout anytime from dusk till dawn, it’s best to keep safety in

mind. We found products that will get you glowing on page 38.

Thanksgiving is also all about the food. Page 22 highlights

dishes from local restaurants that have cranberries so you can

indulge in the sweet yet tart fruit on more than just one day a

year. And, if you’re looking for a new fall recipe, page 20 has

recipe for a harvest salad that’s loaded with seasonal veggies.

Lastly, your skin is likely going through a transition just like

the seasons. Start your winter skin care on the right foot. We have

tips to make it easier on page 48.

Enjoy all that this season has to offer and just remember, you

have a lot to be thankful for.

Best,

Gabby Leighton
