TLWA COFFEE MORNING
We would like to invite you to our TLWA Coffee Mornings. We meet most
Thursdays, from 10 AM to Noon. We socialize, drink coffee and enjoy a
light refreshment and laugh a lot. Come meet your neighbors.
Our group is always open and is varying in ages and backgrounds. No
need to “dress up!” Our dress is casual and determined by your plans for
the rest of the day... whether that is going to work, shopping or the gym.

TWIN LAKES SHARE & PRAYER
Twin Lakes Share & Prayer is a group of women that meets to encourage
one another in their journey in knowing, following and pursuing God. It’s
a friendship group and a safe place for us to learn and fumble, laugh and
explore how to pray in a non-formalized, conversational manner.
For 2019, we are looking into study experience called “Faithwalking,” in
which people are increasingly following the way of Jesus, experiencing
ongoing transformation and developing effective practices for missional
living: to serve the poor, the marginalized and those in need, to work
for the common good and to restore individuals, social systems,
communities and nations to God’s design.
Faithwalking includes daily spiritual workouts tailored to one’s own
needs, exploration into understanding and reducing our own anxieties
so that we can show up in a group lowering the fears, tension and
anxieties of the group, including our own families. We develop new skills
in awareness of... and then saying what we truly think, feel and believe
without bullying, raising our voices or otherwise manipulating others or
without being bullied, manipulated or intimidated ourselves. The daily
spiritual workouts help us connect more and more deeply with God and
he prompts and directs us as we grow in this loving way of living.
We usually meet every other week at Carol Monahan or Patty Napp’s

WATER SMART ADULT HAPPY HOUR
Harris County MUD No. 255 is hosting their annual Water Smart Adult
Happy Hour on Friday, November 8 th beginning at 7 PM in the Twin Lakes
Clubhouse.
We will discuss ways to conserve water consumption, explain your water
bill and detail area wide construction projects that will help us continue
to bring clean water to our homes for decades to come.

The next meeting for the Harris County MUD No. 255 Board of Directors
is to be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 beginning at 12 Noon at

manure or debris of any kind shall be kept or allowed to remain on any
lot. The Owner of each Lot shall remove such prohibited matter from
his lot at regular intervals at his expense and prior to such removal all
such prohibited matter shall be placed in sanitary refuse containers with
tight fitting lids in an area adequately screened by planting or fencing
so as not to be seen from the neighboring Lots. Reasonable amounts
of construction materials and equipment may be stored upon a Lot for
reasonable periods of time during the construction of improvements
thereon.

Every year, registered Girl Scouts take orders from friends and family for
delicious nuts and candies and magazine subscriptions as part of the
Fall Product Program. By participating in this program, troops get a head
start on funding their activities for the year! Product sales help troops
earn necessary funds, but also help girls learn valuable business skills
such as goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills

BOY SCOUT TROOP 609
Boy Scout Troop 609 is a specialized for Boys with high functioning
Autism Spectrum Disorders. They meet at the Westview School on the 1 st
and 3 rd Saturday of the month from 9:30-11:30 AM.
BOY SCOUT TROOP 838
Troop 838 is a small pack located near Hwy 6 and West Road at the
Crossbridges Church. We are between the Copperfield and Aberdeen
neighborhoods. Being a smaller troop allows us to be flexible and address
the needs of our scouts more nimbly. We currently have boys from ages 11
to 17 within our group working to make Eagle. We try to camp monthly,
with a wide variety of locations on our agenda. The different locations are
chosen by the senior boys to more directly meet our training needs and
to keep expenses low. In fact, we have some of the lowest expenses in the
area. Our adult leaders are all experienced with years of scouting under
their belt per individual. We also work closely with several local packs of
cub scouts and participate in civic duties around the area as well. Please

TROOP 1865
Troop 1865 runs a diverse program of outdoor and service activities,
with events selected by the scouts themselves. We meet Mondays at 6:30
PM, at the Copperfield HOA building on Willow River and Hwy 6, behind
Labay. We’ve gone backpacking through the National Forest, rappelling
off Enchanted Rock, Survival camping, boating, canoeing and anything
else the scouts can dream up. We do high-adventure camping at
Philmont and Seabase. Our advancement program has enabled scout to
achieve the coveted rank of Eagle Scout at 10 times the national average
rate. We see scouting as a practice run on adult life. Scouts learn about
leadership and teamwork through having to work together in the field.
We learn about responsibility through fund-raising activities that have
allowed the entire troop to pay for their own summer camp each year.
CUB SCOUT PACK 2
We are an active year round pack for Kindergarten-5 th grade that focuses on life
skills, teamwork, leadership and FUN! Cub Scout activities include camping,
fishing, pinewood derby, hiking and much more! During the school year we meet
on the 3 rd Monday of each month at 7 PM at Birkes Elementary in the cafeteria.

Young men between the ages of 11-18 are encouraged to visit Boy Scout Troop

of what Scouting has to offer and have the opportunity to visit with the
Scouts and their adult leaders to learn more about the things the troop has

Troop 3 is a boy-lead troop where the boys plan an exciting
year-round outdoor program. We camp monthly and include rock climbing,
backpacking and canoeing. Troop 3 also participates in a weeklong winter

Track Houston Youth Track Club has one of the largest and successful youth
