Mummy Mugs
GO GREEN
Elle + Riley
Those in Queenstown have been pining for a little
cashmere luxury for long enough to make Elle + Riley
move south. The cashmere brand has been making
its way down country, starting in Auckland, then
Christchurch and now lands at 23 Beach Street.
With 85 per cent of the clothes on the shelves at the
new shop Lordship Linens boasting the ‘made in New
Zealand’ mark, a trip to North Canterbury is calling.
The business that started at the Ohoka Farmers’ Market
has now set up shop at 130 High Street, Rangiora, with
ethical linen, silk and cotton leading the way.
SUPPORT OTHERS
A group of Sumner mums have joined forces with
pottery guru Tatyanna Meharry to produce Mummy Mugs
(mummymugs.com), a collection of ceramic mugs from
local sand. Behind the collab is a mission to encourage
mothers to take five minutes out to enjoy a cuppa.
Proceeds from the handcrafted beauties will go to Plunket,
to support mothers dealing with post-natal depression.
Get in the Christmas spirit with the Zonta Christmas
House Tour on 24 November. Seven Christchurch
homes open their doors for the event, from which funds
go to Walsh House, PADA NZ (Perinatal Anxiety and
Depression Aotearoa) and Zonta International Projects.
Tickets include post-event drinks and nibbles at The
Christmas Hut.
