General Meeting Minutes 10-15-19
The General meeting was called to order by Dick
Danielsen at 6:30 PM. Dick opened the meeting
with Kathy announcing an idea for a femalecamaraderie
visit with Lori Dukes at her home on the
back patio. Kathy will coordinate with Lori and
inform those interested of the details.
Secretary – Kathy Marine read minutes from the
September General meeting. The September
minutes were amended (correcting noted
November General Meeting to November Annual
Meeting). Ruthie made a motion to accept the
minutes as amended; LeighAnne seconded the
motion.
Treasurer’s Report - Lynn Henenfent gave the
Treasurer’s report. She also stated $201.00 was
collected in raffle ticket sales. A great haul of cash
Freida collected considering the low meeting
attendance.
VP of Public Relations/Membership – Ruthie
Danielsen announced 4 birthdays and 4
anniversaries for October. Birthday cheers fell eerily
silent since all celebrants were absent from the
meeting. But alas, memories of wedding bells rang
out for 3 out of 4 blessed marriages - Severances,
Henenfent’s, and Garrahan’s. And, just as fast as the
married years rolled by, the pick of the draw was
done; Patrick and Patricia were winners of a $25.00
Yosemite Falls Café Gift Card. Wishes to all for
many more years of togetherness!
Ruthie announced that tonight’s new membership
initiation and badge presentation to Mike and
Jeannie King; and, Mike and Jennie Schwan will be
postponed due to their personal events and
inability to attend meeting. We hope to, once
again, see Mike and Jeannie, and Jennie soon;
keeping remembrances of Mike close in heart. A
card was mailed to Jennie on behalf of the CVC
club. Gail Tavares was given her new badge that
includes her husband’s name.
Ruthie will be mailing an CVC Holiday Party
invitation to Ed Dena to include a guest.
Ruthie reminded members that October was the
last month prior to 2020 Board voting and the
importance of everyone signing-in on the
attendance sheet for voting eligibility.
Ruthie also reminded members to submit their
Membership Renewal form, dues, and Proof of
Insurance – together – by the November Annual
meeting.
VP of Activities – In Mike Lebda’s absence, Dick
informed the members of upcoming runs and
activities. Each run leader gave a brief synopsis of
their run and provided members with any updated
information. See Run/Activity Schedule published
in the newsletter for planned runs or contact run
leaders with any questions regarding their run.
As a follow-up to recently held runs, each run
leader reflected on the highlights for member’s
enjoyment:
Charlotte leaded the way - did not get lost nor did
GPS lead her astray - with 10 cars following her to
the September 29, Snelling Car Show.
