Introduction of RERA (Regulation and Development Act) and<br />

government’s “Hous<strong>in</strong>g for All by 2022” vision, with its focus on<br />

affordable hous<strong>in</strong>g segment is propell<strong>in</strong>g the sec<strong>to</strong>r even further.<br />

With FDI <strong>in</strong> <strong>to</strong>wnships and settlement development projects<br />

be<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>creased <strong>to</strong> 100per cent, the Government is look<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>to</strong>wards attract<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>ternational players <strong>to</strong>o. <strong>The</strong> <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>g scope<br />

of commercial real estate driven by the demand of office spaces<br />

by startups, co-work<strong>in</strong>g spaces and e-commerce will be the key<br />

fac<strong>to</strong>rs. If th<strong>in</strong>gs do fall <strong>in</strong> place, it is estimated that the real<br />

estate sec<strong>to</strong>r <strong>in</strong> India will become a $1 trillion market by 2030.<br />
