Breakfast with Santa<br />

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 380 Keny Blvd., London, will host<br />

Breakfast with Santa from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 14. Enjoy breakfast,<br />

get your picture taken with Santa, try your luck in the raffle, and<br />

browse the Secret Santa Shop.<br />

Central Townships Fire District<br />

The regular meeting of the Central Townships Joint Fire District<br />

will take place at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 at Somerford Township Hall,<br />

91 State Rte. 56 NW, London. The 2020 appropriations for the fire<br />

district will be available for inspection at that time.<br />

Developmental Disabilities Board<br />

The <strong>Madison</strong> County Board of Developmental Disabilities will<br />

meet at 4 p.m. Dec. 12 at the administrative office, 500 Elm St.,<br />

London.<br />

Fairfield Township Trustees<br />

The Fairfield Township trustees will meet at 8 p.m. Dec. 16 at<br />

Fairfield Township Hall, 9100 Big Plain-Circleville Road. Appropriations<br />

for 2020 will be available for public input and, after discussion,<br />

for board approval.<br />

Asbestos exposure in industrial,<br />

construction, manufacturing jobs, or the<br />

HBMLibrary<br />

• Storytimes. 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays and Fridays.<br />

• Firefighters Toy Drive. The library is a drop-off location<br />

for the annual Firefighters Toy Drive. Call the library<br />

for specifics on the needed items.<br />

• Adopt-a-Family. Applications are available at the<br />

information desk to fill out for any family in need that<br />

would like to receive Christmas gifts. Anyone who<br />

would like to buy gifts for a family can pick up an “ornament”<br />

at the library listing a family’s wishes. Call<br />

ahead to be sure wish lists are still available.<br />

• 12 Days of Christmas. From Dec. 9 through Dec. 23,<br />

the library will be Craft Central Station. Lots of festive<br />

ornament crafts will rotate every day. All previous crafts<br />

and more will be available at the same time on Dec. 23<br />

during the library’s holiday open house 11 a.m.-5 p.m.<br />

• Sleepytime Storytime. Little ones are encouraged<br />

to wear their PJs and bring their blankets for a relaxing<br />

storytime at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10.<br />

• Teen Steam: Nightmare Before Christmas Party.<br />

Teens in grades 6 and up are invited to enjoy food,<br />

games and crafts from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Dec. 13.<br />

• Quilt Raffle. Tickets are available for purchase<br />

through Dec. 14. The winner will be notified the week<br />

of Dec. 16. The raffle is sponsored by the Friends of the<br />

Library.<br />

• Cookie Walk. 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 14 in the<br />

community room.<br />

• Star Wars Party. Star Wars fans of all ages are invited<br />

to have fun from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 14. All<br />

who attend can enter the drawing for one of two hologram<br />

lamps.<br />

for the staff Christmas party and reopen Dec. 13 for regular<br />

hours. The library will be closed Dec. 24-25 for<br />

Christmas and Dec. 30-Jan. 1 for New Year’s.<br />

• Teen Book Club. The group will discuss “Dumplin’”<br />

by Julie Murphy from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Dec. 17. Copies of<br />

the book are available for checkout. The club is open to<br />

ages 13-18. Snacks will be served.<br />

• Books and Baubles Sale. The Friends of the Library’s<br />

annual fundraiser runs all day Dec. 9-14 (except<br />

Dec. 11) and features used books and hand-crafted gifts<br />

for book lovers.<br />

• All Ages Storytime. Ages 6 and younger can enjoy<br />

stories, rhymes, songs and other learning activities from<br />

10:30 to 11 a.m. Dec. 9 and Dec. 16. Caregivers must attend.<br />

• Holiday Storytime. Bring the whole family for stories,<br />

rhymes, songs, dancing, parachute play and a craft<br />

at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10.<br />

• Closures. The library will be closed Dec. 11 for<br />

staff development. The library will be closed Dec. 24-25<br />

for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.<br />

• Library Board Meeting. The board meets at 6:30<br />

p.m. the third Monday of every month. The public is<br />

welcome. The next meeting is on Dec. 16.<br />

• Kids Book Club. This club, for children in grades<br />

4-7, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17.<br />

• Storytimes. Toddlertime for ages 18-36 months<br />

will meet at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 18. Caregivers must attend.<br />

Preschool Storytime for children ages 3-6 will meet at<br />

11 a.m. Dec. 18.<br />

Retired Teachers<br />

The <strong>Madison</strong> County Retired Teachers Association<br />

will meet on Dec. 9 at Brennan Loft, 158 S. Main St.<br />

(above Wilson Printing and Graphics), London. Lunch<br />

is at 11:30 a.m. The meeting is at 12:30 p.m. The program<br />

West Jefferson Parks and Recreation<br />

The West Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department<br />
