been contemplating<br />
a spoken word radio<br />
program for some<br />
time, but was unsure<br />
how I would differentiate<br />
it from the rest.<br />
I knew that I wanted<br />
it to be positive in<br />
nature: with a background<br />
in broadcasting<br />
I was all too<br />
familiar with the<br />
gloom and doom tendencies<br />
of mainstream<br />
news.<br />
Inspired, I got to<br />
work with my partner<br />
Ana Bokstrom,<br />
highlighting the challenging,<br />
yet positive<br />
shifts in people’s lives<br />
within this community<br />
and from around<br />
the world. That was six<br />
years and 300+ shows<br />
ago, airing twice a<br />
week from <strong>Kootenay</strong><br />
Co-op Radio in Nelson,<br />
Tuesdays from 2<br />
- 4 pm, and repeating<br />
Sundays 11 - 1 pm.<br />
