(07/05/1958 - 28/02/1993)

Late Shri Nand Kishore Mittal was born in

January, 1918. He was a social worker and

devoted his life for the upliftment of society and

education. He was a mine owner in Odisha in

early 50s & also established various industries

that include chemicals, fasteners/ screws as well

as Steel Mesh. He dedicated his life to the service

of mankind. He was a real epitome of wisdom,

love, care and affection. He was a simple man

endowed with high moral values. He

constructed a platform in the eld of education

for the upliftment of children.

(30/01/1918 - 31/10/1999)

He was a man whose heart always bubbled with love for children. He always remained

ready to provide any kind of help to the needy. He left us for his heavenly abode in

October, 1999 when he was running in 81st year of his life. May we live up to his ideas

and bring out our best to serve our motherland in a rewarding manner.

AMM Public School, Modinagar, holds great reputation and fame among other

educational institutions in the region. I have been keen observer of its progress over

the years and I am sure that it will give quality education facilities to its students. I am

glad to hear the new leap from our school, “ARUNODAYA” the educational magazine

which displays the achievements of our students and school over the years. I take the

opportunity to wish all the staff and students in bringing out their skills through this

initiative.

To all the parents and children associated with AMM PUBLIC SCHOOL, MODINAGAR.

The main objective of our school is to guide children to acquire knowledge, skill

and also to think independently and be self condent. We believe that learning must

be joyous occasion which would arouse the natural feeling of learning in the students.

It is necessary for the student to have open mind which can learn every fact and

information through fun and mistakes. They have to learn from the errors and at the

same time they should not be underrated for their errors they commit and cultivate

new ideas which can be shared and praised by others. I welcome the efforts taken by

the students and staff of the school in bringing out their rst initiative, “ARUNODAYA”

Reeba ( Class IV )

She is dancing doll of the school. She is the best student of class

IV. She can attain any position in nal examination. Talent does

come in small packages & example is this girl. She is wonderful

in academics, art & craft, orating & Calligraphy. She is

extremely considerate and polite in her speech. Seeing her

excellence, it is easy to visualise her great success in near future.

Zoya ( Class II )

She is determined to prove herself in calligraphy and academics.

She also has a air in Art & Craft. She always wears a charming

and pleasing smile on her face. She always comes up with a

polite courteous mannerism.

Alisha ( Class VI )

She got the best anchor award (Girl) from AMMPS. She is

wonderful in academics, art and craft, drawing and sports. She

has received accolades from her teachers and principal in

various activities. She is very cheerful, friendly and is sensitive to

environment.

Abhay ( Class V )

He got the best anchor award (Boy) from AMMPS. He is the Red

House captain and is an excellent student & all rounder of his

class. He is a disciplined child whose obedience is an example.

He is sure to pave his way to academic excellence. He is active

and vigilant and excels in extra activities as well as in

academics.


Divyanshi ( Class - K.G. )

She is an obedient child who is good in studies and actively takes

part in the intra and inter class activities. She carries a pleasing

smile and is an icon for intellect and discipline. She is a good

orator and she has many ideas if a task is given. She shows

decency and courtesy attitude towards everyone.

Jiya ( Class I )

She has good academic record and also a sports scholar. She

actively takes part in cultural activities and wears a pleasing

smile on her face. She has also air in art and drawing also. She

has the excellence of knowledge that is accumulated with

decorum which opens gateway to success.

Karan ( Class VIII )

He is the Head boy of the school whose performance enacts the

reality of life & portrays the incarnation of a new citizen. He

showed his art of excellence and perfection in the Hindi play

conducted during Diwali celebration in the school. He is an

extremely talented intellectual who has good academic record

as well. He was also one among in the list of toppers of class VII

with 90+ %. He manages to win accolades of one and all.

She is a girl with spirit of quest for knowledge accumulated with

discipline that paved her off to have academic excellence. She is

brilliant in making innovative science projects. She is also an

athlete and sports scholar. Her oratory skills dene her treasure

of thoughts. She sets protocols to abide rules and regulations

with utter diligence and dedication that sets her off to the

paramount success.

He is the boy who has the zeal to exceed and excel. His mantra

of success lies in his strong time management. His fortitude

combined with strong resolution makes him to stand apart. He

was the topper of the school for class V during 2018-19. He is

well behaved and well mannered in all his activities.

Mahi ( Class IV )

She is the pearl of intellectual abilities, with good dancing skills

and desires which depicts her as the academic genius. She does

not only possess the intellectual abilities but also carries the

feet of a trained dancer and the voice of an accomplished singer.

She excels in sports, dance and debates and has won many

accolades for her almamater and is passionate to add feathers

in the cap of the school.

and do them.” Education is a process that goes on

throughout life and is promoted by almost every

experience of life. The Red House members are

indeed blessed. The brilliant performance of the

Red House lifted the moral of the house. “Winners

do not do different things, but they do things

differently” We, the Red House always believe in being

humble one, to get success and perfection one needs

determination, hard work and practice throughout the year.

The school celebrated Eid festival with great joy.

The Orange House has majority of the all-rounders

with their contribution in every success of school

programs. “Talents can come into person a power;

genius is in whose power a person is.” It gives great

pleasure seeing the achievements of Orange

House in various fields. The students of Orange House

participated in various events held so far with great zeal

and took strength from their ongoing spirit. The students

tried to put their best foot forward keeping up the motto of the House. The students

managed to secure 2nd rank in the English and Hindi Recitation Competition.

far under the guidance of House Master and House

Teachers with enthusiasm and excitement. We

succeeded in achieving the first rank in Inter-house

Comptech Powerpoint Presentation Competition.

In the remaining competitions we could not stand

out but then this is not the end, there are many more

competitions yet to come.

Achievements

As those words reverberate through our souls, the

teachers and students of Blue House now gear up for

yet another year of competition, challenges, hope,

joy and definitely new responsibilities and

obligations as Blue House always believes in going

ahead and living up the challenge with all might and

power. The spirit of the house was manifested in

every circle of activity, be it the co-curricular activities

like sports. Though we do not boast of many victories in the

arena of sports yet we were a formidable force to be

Every competition brought new challenges and responsibilities. Blue House

faced every challenge with grit and courage because winning or losing never

concerned us as our sole aim was to do our best. Competitive zeal and indomitable

will power was found to be truly alive in the students of the house who took strength

from their ongoing spirit. This spirited endeavour of the students brought the

house great laurels in many fields.

Sports Meet 2018

Sports help improve both physical and mental strength. Our body remains fit and

healthy.

Annual school sports is held at the pre-determined time and place. The

spectators of Annual sports day function are the friends and relatives of the

participating students. The students who didn't get the opportunity to

participate in Sports meet also stand among the spectators to support their

favourite candidates. Prizes are awarded to the winners by the Principal, Chief

Guest and other honoured invitees. A ter the prize distribution ceremony, the

'Principal' or the 'Head of Sports' gives a short speech highlighting the

importance of sports in our life. Students are encouraged to engage in sports and

outdoor games on the regular basis. A ter this, the announcement for the close of

the programs for the day is announced.

Bal mela 2018-19

AMM Public School celebrated Chacha Nehru's birthday by organizing Bal Mela

or Children's Fete which fascinated the hearts of viewers and guests present.

The Chairman of the school Sh. Prabhat Mittal along with Director Smt. Rekha

Mittal were the chief guests. Principal Rita Rastogi shared message of futility to

the students. An array of stalls with mouth-watering food items and exciting

games were the main attraction of the fete.

The kids had coupons which they could spend in any way they liked. The students

enjoyed the fun-filled day with zeal and great enthusiasm. Huge timeout could

also be seen everywhere.


Earth day Celebration 2019

A.M.M. Public School, Modinagar along with the teachers celebrated Earth Day

on April 20, 2019 with much enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students

towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges at grass root

level.

The tiny tots collectively participated in doing the beautiful cra t work based on

Earth Day. Role plays on how Mother Earth can be saved from global warming

were enacted. To mark this day and to emphasize upon the need to save trees, all

the children were involved in speaking slogans like 'Save Earth' and 'Go Green'.

International Yoga Day

“Yoga is an invaluable gi t of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body;

thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic

approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness

with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it

can help in well being.”

International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at A.M.M. Public School

with great enthusiasm. Students of grade VII and VIII demonstrated various asanas followed

by Omkar chanting. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and

standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously.The celebration

concluded with synchronized recitation of shlokas and speech by our Principal Rita Rastogi and

yoga teacher Sapna nirwan . They encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit

and improve concentration.

Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally

and spiritually as well.


Mother's day celebration

Mother's Day is a special day of the year, dedicated to all mothers

.It is celebrated all over the world. Mothers hold a special

place in the hearts of children. The students of

A.M.M. Public School were given an opportunity

to show their appreciation for their mothers, a day

prior to Mother's Day. To show their love and

respect for their mother, the young,

enthusiastic AMMPSians of junior

school made beautiful cards. They

even drew a picture of their mother

and wrote short poems. Some

Summer Camp

Every day is bliss when you come to school to see students learning how to swim,

play Harmonium, Casio, Guitar, Drum and other musical instruments. When you

take an amble through the school corridor, and see students busy in taking

Pottery Classes, making Science Models, doing Martial Arts, deeply engaged in

building Aeroplanes that actually ly, learning Jazz, Hip Hop, Salsa, and other

forms of Western Dance. When you see toddlers enjoying their hearts out in the

water park every day, learning how to skate, shoot in the shooting range, and

create wonderful pieces of art and cra t. This is Summer Champ Camp at AMM

Public School. A ter month full of activities, acquiring skills, and art, finally comes

the day to culminate the Summer Camp, and a day for students to showcase their

newly learnt skills to their parents and teachers.

The success of the Summer Champ Camp, 2019, full of varied activities carefully

concocted for kids during summer break, was clearly visible with the grand

culmination ceremony celebrated on 15th May, 2019 at AMM Public School,

Modinagar. Over 500 students from more than 16 schools participated in the

camp, and finally in the culmination ceremony.

Other than the exhilarating performances, a magical exhibition of extraordinary

art and cra t was done on the sides of the hall. Beautiful pottery work of each

student, painting on T-shirts, clay models of Elephants, Tortoise, Crocodiles,

Peacock, Aeroplanes, Penguins, etc, stick art using wood sticks, acrylic painting on

pots, paper modelling, and modern art were displayed in the exhibition.

We would like to congratulate the students who took part in Summer Champ

Camp, 2019 and went home a ter learning at least 4 skills. Now, they can show

them o f at their home to their parents, siblings and friends. We hope that these

skills remain with them all their lives.

Vanmohotsav

‘Trees are the kindest things we grow'. This has been rightly said as the needs

of all the living beings are fulfilled by them. But their depleting number has

become a serious issue. To make students aware of this issue and taking

initiative towards it, AMM Public School, Modinagar celebrated Tree Plantation

day in its premises.

The morning assembly started with the speech of Saniya of class VIII in which

she threw light on the importance of trees in our lives and Gurpreet of VII

recited a poem 'Na Kato Mujhe' to give message of preserving the flora. About

100 plants were planted by the students of Eco Club in association with Global

Human Service organization at AMMPublic School. Principal Smt. Rita Rastogi,

Co-ordinator Priya agarwal were present on the occasion.

Students watched working 'Sewage Treatment Plant' at AMM Global School.

This week was celebrated as 'Nature Conversation week' . Students of class I to

V enthusiastically participated in the activity of planting trees at home and got

themselves photographed.

Indepandacne Day celebration

and

Rakhi Making Comeptition

It is a proud moment for everyone as we approach the 73rd Independence Day on August 15,

2019. This annual observance has a great significance and this special day is celebrated for

commemorating our brave leaders and fighters of history who won us the freedom we are

enjoying today. On this great occasion, schools usually come up with a lot of interesting

independence day celebration and activities to help kids learn more about the significance of

the day.

Our school also celebrates this festival every year. For this year, we had made all the

preparations. In the morning all students our school marched out in a procession through the

main streets of the town with a band playing the National Song ( Vande Matram ).The

Chairman was the Chief Guest of the Programme. She hoisted the national lag on the school

building sharp at 8:00 am. All the students and teachers saluted the lag and then sang the

National Anthem with nobody moved honoring it. Then followed the Cultural Programme.

HAPPY

Patriotic Poems and Songs were recited both by the teachers and the students. Some students

also presented the group dance and skits.

INDEPENDENCE

DAY

All the children participated with great zeal and zest in the creative competition of Rakhi

making same day. The competition saw a number of creative and colourful rakhis being made

by the students. The rakhis that were made were an enviable lot and a fusion of modern with

traditional styles was seen.

Janmashtmi

Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful

and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. According to the Hindu calendar, this

festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh or the 8th day of the dark

fortnight in the month of Bhadon. This day indicated the beginning of hope in the older

times; hope, that the malicious rule of Kansa would soon end.

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at AMM Public

School on 23rd August, 2019 with mirth and joy. The fragrance of lowers, soothing

aroma of camphor and the jingle of bells filled the air. While this religious importance is

not lost, this day signifies a lot more to modern India, it signifies excitement, euphoria

and a joyous spirit of enthrallment. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between

children and the Almighty, AMM Public School took the opportunity to both jubilate

and learn with the young minds. The students dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha,

complete with lutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The premise was decorated

beautifully and the spirit of festivity was enhanced with Jhankis depicting life history of

Lord Krishna. The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educating.

A lot of fun-filled activities like painting, nail art, tambola, tattoo-making, selfie corner,

magic pot etc. The purpose of the lamboyant celebration was to inculcate value of

sharing and respect in the students.

The life history of Lord Krishna was very beautifully depicted by colourful Jhankis. The

parents had a great time participating in fun games..... The main attraction of the event

was breaking of the treasure filled Matki.....

The Principal of the school, Smt. Reeta Rastogi

blessed all the students on this auspicious day

and gave them the message as always, looking

ahead instead of reminiscing in the past. Her

words truly summed up the e ficacy of

celebrating festivals of devotion and obedience

towards their parents and teachers.


Air force day Celebration

Teemed with gratitude for the Air Force personnel and Air Force being the most

important defender of any nation 'Air Force Day' was commemorated in APS, with

great zeal and fervour by both junior and senior wings on 05 and 08 October

respectively. The event encapsulated programmes like, speech, quiz, solo song,

group dance etc. The speech apprised the students about the history of Indian Air

Force and some heroic facts. Quiz squeezed their brains and group dance and solo

song created an ambience of Nation's proud. The show indeed boosted the young

comrades to choose Air Force as a career.

Dusshera Celebration

AMM Public School, Modinagar celebrated Dussehra with a lot of fervor and ardor. A

spectacular one act Ramlila was staged by the senior students in which they presented

the scenes from the banishment of Rama from Ayodhaya followed by his victory over

Ravana.

A huge e figy of Ravana with ten heads was burnt a ter the Ram Lila. The students raised

the slogans of'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram' and everyone around enjoyed the serene

atmosphere. The students of primary classes danced on the Hindi number, . The tiny

tots from the junior section were attired in the costumes of Lord Ram, Lakshmana, Sita

Mata, Hanumaan ji and wanar sena.

The primary objective of the entire show was to convince the students that no matter

how intelligent a person is, his pride will be the reason of his collapse. They were

informed that Ravana was basically very intelligent. His knowledge was equal to the

knowledge of ten heads. His ten heads are symbolic of his great wisdom. They were

intimated how his single mistake overpowered and nullified his entire wisdom. So

ultimately the students were told to be genuine in their doings.

The tiny tots enjoyed the activity of making 'gadas', the weapon of Lord Hanumana. The

teachers prepared the students as Lord Hanumana by painting their faces. The students

enjoyed community lunch in their traditional dresses. The Principal Smt. Reeta Rastogi

addressed the students and told them that the purpose to organize this celebration was

actually to make the students aware of the o t repeated message i.e the triumph of

virtue over the vice. She congratulated the teachers and the students for the coming

festival season.


Eid Celebration 2019

Eid is a festival of prayers, joy, happiness, and brotherhood. At AMMPS, Eid was celebrated with

great fervor and excitement. The celebrations began with an informative presentation by

School students Alisha from VI class and Abhay from class V in which they explained to the

children the meaning, purpose and importance of Ramzan and the subsequent celebration of

Eid. They explained how Eid comes as a reward for those who have remained pure and noble at

heart during the holy month of Ramadan and followed the path of God. Shikha Madam also

explained the intricacies of Eid and brought the cultural aspects of the celebration into focus.

She initiated the children into the Kawali of celebrating Eid and also told them about how this

festival brings special cheer for the children as they wear new clothes and get money or Eidi and

sweet on the occasion. Both the speakers reiterated the importance of celebrating this festival

by sharing joys, meeting others, distributing sweets among their loved ones and giving alms to

the needy..

A ter the wonderful introduction to the festival of Eid . Then, came the main attraction of the

program- a skit presented by students of class 2 to 5. The skit was an adaptation of Munshi

Premchand's story “Eidgaah”. It was the story of a small boy “Hamid” who goes to the fair on Eid

like all other children. But instead of enjoying himself like all other boys and girls at the fair

and buying treats and toys with the money his grandma gave him, he buys a small pair of tongs

for his grandmother to save her fingers from getting burnt. This touching story of love and

sacrifice really impressed the children and they all appreciated the e fort made by the children

in presenting it. The grand finale of the special assembly on Eid was a dance by class 3

choreographed to the song “I love my India” The special assembly was successful in conveying

the significance of Eid and was much appreciated by the Chairman Sir, who encouraged

children to follow the path of peace, love and friendship.

HOLI MILAN 2019

The Festival of Colours was celebrated with great enthusiasm at AMM Public School on the 5th

of March, 2019.

The students from Std IV to VIII applied leaves of lower like colour on each other. The teachers,

led by the Principal MrsReeta Rastogi, played with safe, dry and organic colours little bit. By the

end of the day, the vibrant blues, pinks and yellows made every member of AMM Public School

look similar.

Truly Holi not only strengthens the bond of unity but it also makes us stronger as a family.
